It has been a dream of mine since I first started my sound journey to play at @twisted_roots_yoga_wellness ! It’s my favorite yoga studio in York, and always has me leaving feeling like a friend, warm, cared for, and whole. I am so excited to bring a sound meditation to this space. Seeing the amazing @sarah.paz.hyde and @chuck_piliero there recently inspired me so deeply, I knew it was time! I hope you’ll join us, and share with a friend! 🫶🏻

A little bit about me and sound meditation…

Hello friend! My name is Dana Schlosser. It is an honor and a gift to support you in your journey through this life with the vibration of sound.

I feel sound meditations are opportunities to remember one’s true nature. The deeper we listen, the closer we are to liberation. Through sound and vibration, truly, anything is possible.

In our meditation, we (you, me, and the sound) will relax into deeper states of awareness and expansion. The utilization of breath and guided meditation will help to set the foundation for exploration. Overtone omitting instruments like the gong, singing bowls, voice, and shruti and more will lay the path for this journey. And then, truth unfolds. The deeper we listen, the more we hear…

This immersive sound meditation is an invitation to remember who and what we are. Infused by the melodic, shamanic qualities of the handpan, ngoni & frame drum, our time is interwoven with dreamlike, ancestral vocalizations & lullabies, alongside an assortment of instruments including gongs, crystal & metal bowls, chimes and percussive elementals. Inspired by the natural world – the 5 elements of Air, Wind, Water, Fire & Aether – we will oscillate between stillness and sound to travel through the peaks & valleys of the soul to access rest & release, and more deeply integrate balance & harmony within.
