💖 We are thrilled to welcome Danelle Lavernuick to the DAC Hope Story family! 💖

@_danelle__ is a dedicated dance mom to her two daughters, Liliana and Lucy. Danelle brings an inspiring strength and resilience to our community through sharing her story. Recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer, Danelle is facing incredible challenges with grace and courage. We are honored to support her during this journey and are thankful she has a wonderful support system at @soulinspiredohio in Ohio. Together, we will continue to inspire one another through the power of dance and community.

Still kind of in shock… this happened last night 🤍

I got to meet @derekhough and even asked him to do a shoutout for the girls’ dance studio! He was so kind, genuine, and just as amazing in person as you’d hope.

So thankful I took the chance and went for it — moments like this don’t come around often ✨

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

I took this photo while we were in Crete, Greece, and when I saw this Breast Cancer Awareness sign, I had to stop.

I’m smiling in this picture—not because of breast cancer or what this disease has brought into my life—but because I’m happy to be here. I’m happy to be alive. 💗

Breast cancer has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined, and if sharing my story reminds even one woman to pay attention to her health, then it’s worth sharing.

Please check your breasts, keep up with your screenings, and advocate for yourself when something doesn’t feel right. And if breast cancer runs in your family, talk with your doctor about whether you should begin screening earlier or consider genetic counseling. Don’t wait simply because you think you’re too young.

Early detection matters. Knowing your body matters. And you are worth taking the time to get checked.

This October, I’m grateful for every day, every memory, every trip, and every moment I get with the people I love. 🎀💕

Check yourself. Get screened. Know your family history. And remind the women you love to do the same.

Walking through thousands of years of history at the Palace of Knossos. 🇬🇷🏛️✨

Tucked into the breathtaking cliffs of Kourtaliotiko Gorge in Crete, this stone entrance honors Saint Nicholas Kourtaliotis, the holy man whose legend has been carried through these mountains for centuries.

According to Cretan tradition, five springs miraculously emerged from the rock—one for each of his five fingers—and still flow through the gorge today. 💧⛰️

There is something so special about experiencing places where faith, history, legend, and natural beauty all meet. 🤍
