June 26th - July 5th, 2026 - Exhibition Daniel BlumbergPalm Of The Hand Drawings@_danielblumberg_ 6月26日から7月5日まで、高円寺のtata bookshop / galleryにて、ダニエル・ブランバーグ（Daniel Blumberg）による日本初個展「Palm Of The Hand Drawings」を開催いたします。ダニエル・ブランバーグ（1990年、ロンドン生まれ）は、ドローイング、ソングライティング、即興演奏、サウンドを横断しながら活動するアーティスト／作曲家です。視覚芸術の実践と並行して、Mute Recordsより複数のソロアルバムを発表しているほか、『Sotto le Nuvole』や『The Brutalist』などの映画音楽も手がけています。『The Brutalist』の劇伴では、2025年アカデミー賞作曲賞を受賞しました。これまでの作品は、Balice Hertling（パリ）、Triennale Milano、Kunsthal Rotterdam、Deichtorhallen Hamburg、KW Institute for Contemporary Art（ベルリン）などで発表されています。本展では、作家自身がロンドンから携行した小型の銀製フォトケースに収められたドローイング群を発表します。19世紀以降、銀製フォトケースは家族や恋人の肖像写真を身近に携えるための容器として広く用いられてきました。ブランバーグはその内部にドローイングを収めることで、個人的な記憶を保存するための親密な器を、より開かれた想像力のための場へと変容させています。展覧会タイトルは川端康成の『掌の小説』（英題：Palm Of The Hand Stories）に着想を得ており、また、ローベルト・ヴァルザーの『Microscripts』も重要な参照点となっています。両作品はいずれも、小さな形式の中に広大な時間や空間、そして想像力を立ち上げる表現です。ブランバーグの作品は、鉛筆が普及する以前から用いられていた描画技法である銀筆（シルバーポイント）によって制作されています。銀筆による線は、空気や湿度など周囲の環境に反応しながらゆっくりと酸化し、時間とともに変化を続けます。ブランバーグはこの技法を通して、ドローイングを完成された結果ではなく、時間の経過を記録し続ける持続的なプロセスとして捉えています。 =DatesJune 26th – July 5th, 2026Opening DaysThursday – SundayOpening Hours1:00 PM – 9:00 PMVenuetata bookshop / gallery @tata_bookshop by @_danielblumberg_

《About Daniel Blumberg》 Based in London, Daniel Blumberg is a musician and composer whose work has gained increasing recognition in recent years, particularly in the field of film music. In 2025, he received both the Academy Award and the BAFTA Award for Best Original Score for his work on the film The Brutalist.Alongside his practice in improvised music, Blumberg’s work extends across film, drawing, and other disciplines, reflecting an expansive approach that moves fluidly between mediums. He also composed the score for The Testament of Ann Lee, which was released in Japan on June 5th.At the core of Blumberg’s practice is a belief that music should remain in constant transformation. Refusing to repeat the same performance twice, he approaches each live set as a unique event. He has spoken of how experiencing a performance by Keiji Haino at Cafe OTO resonated deeply with his own artistic philosophy, particularly its sense of unpredictability and perpetual reinvention.At MODE on June 29, this shared spirit of exploration will bring the two artists together for a special collaboration. Ten Years Alive opens in silence with a screening of ‘Declarative Mode’ — an hallucinatory late 1970s work by Paul Sharits for two overlapping 16mm film projectors. This will be followed by Daniel Blumberg — a composer and artist whose gripping stage presence intensifies his radical commitment to the visceral potential of sound, song and collaborative invention.This event is presented by Ideell Edition in collaboration with Moderna Museet.
