I met Jessica a year ago at church, and I truly believe God placed us in each other’s lives for a reason—especially now. 💕 I was heartbroken to learn that one of my good friends has been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. 💔 The emotional and financial burden on her family is immense, and as soon as I heard, I knew I had to help.

Please consider donating to support Jessica and her family during this difficult time. 🙏 You can send contributions directly to her husband via Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App using the usernames in the photo.

Let’s come together to provide them with some peace and support as they fight this battle. Every bit helps. 💖 🎗️

“And where the journey may lead me
Let your prayers be my guide
I cannot stay here, my family
But I’ll remember my pride”

This beautiful journey that I have had leading this show around the country is coming to a close in five months’ time, on September 22nd where I will be taking my final bow as Simba in the national tour of Disney’s The Lion King. It is both a joyous and bittersweet moment as I reflect on the incredible journey I have had portraying this iconic character.

For the past few years, the stage has become my kingdom, and Simba has become a part of who I am. I have witnessed the magic of the African savannah unfold before my eyes, dancing to the rhythm of the drums, and singing with all the passion in my soul. The roar of the audience, the energy in the theater, and the bond with some of my fellow cast members have created an experience that will forever be etched in my heart.

Playing Simba has been a privilege and a challenge that I have embraced wholeheartedly. Through this role, I have learned the importance of resilience, the power of real relationships in family and friendship, and the courage to embrace one’s destiny. Simba’s journey from a timid cub to a confident king has mirrored my own growth as an artist, especially stepping into theater unconventionally for the first time in my 30’s and I am grateful for the opportunity to bring his story to life.

Check out to see what cities I will be in for my last few months until heading on to the next adventure 😏🙌🏾!!! Stay tuned!!!

Christian books I wish I read sooner 📚

Don’t Fear Your Roar: A powerful call to courage from Broadway star Darian Sanders, best known as Simba in Disney’s The Lion King, Don’t Fear Your Roar is a spiritually charged guide to discovering your voice, embracing your identity, and walking boldly into your God-given purpose.

60 Seconds for Jesus: For individuals seeking concise spiritual inspiration and practical guidance in their daily lives, 60 Seconds for Jesus by Jim Sichko offers a unique and accessible message of hope and kindness, serving as a motivational tool from an appointed Missionary of Mercy. It distinguishes itself by its short, impactful format and the author’s extensive experience as a global speaker.

Smells Like Smoke: A gripping call to action from national speaker and megachurch pastor, Trevor DeVage, that challenges readers to abandon comfortable, safe Christianity, and to step into the fire of people struggling with sin, and connect them with Christ with a hands-on compassion that leaves one smelling like smoke.
