There are moments where you sit back and realize just how much work, sacrifice, passion, and purpose went into something bigger than yourself… and this is one of those moments for me. ❤️✨

Over the past several months, I had the honor of being part of a small 3-person team supporting a multi-state CDC-funded HIV feasibility pilot study across Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri, and South Carolina 🤞🏾

From building data systems and workflows, processing participant incentives, coordinating trainings, traveling across states, and engaging alongside CAB members and CBO partners 🫂 This work required all of us to show up fully, consistently, and with heart.

And we did exactly that. 🙌🏾✨

We successfully reached our participant goals 🎯, strengthened community engagement efforts 🤝🏾, and helped support work that has the potential to impact HIV care, treatment access, and future research for people living with HIV ❤️🩺🌟

What makes this especially emotional for me is knowing I was not only the only Black gay person on the team ✊🏾🏳️‍🌈, but also the only person living with HIV ❤️. That carried weight every single day throughout this project.

I didn’t just understand this work professionally — I understood it personally, emotionally, spiritually, and through lived experience. 🫶🏾✨

There were long days, airports, trainings, spreadsheets, late nights, problem-solving, and moments of exhaustion 😮‍💨… but we kept pushing because the mission and impact mattered. 🙏🏾✨

This experience reminded me that representation matters, community matters, lived experience matters, and purpose-driven work will always mean more. 🌟

I know my parents would be proud of the man I’m becoming 🥹❤️

And one thing is for sure…

What a weekend. I want to say I often have to pinch myself to be sure that what’s happening is truly a reality. 😮‍💨🥹

Project RED Paint, Inc. had the opportunity participate/attend in the National Strength Conference hosted by Auntjuan Wiley and his team. We showed up deep and ready with 9 participants with us. I thank these special individuals for trusting us and supporting us through the entire weekend.

This work isn’t easy not one bit, but when community members lean on you and show up, it makes it all so worth it. 🫶🏽💕

Special shoutout to our communications director Christopher Da'Mone for an amazing presentation during the conference and for his leadership on providing the participants with all the support and love they needed. Latonia Wilkins you would be so proud. 🥹 Project RED Paint and Silver Lining Initiative is making impact and getting the work done.

Today’s National Gay Men HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. As an honor of being a gay man and this year making 12 years living with HIV I wanted to do something special. I asked my family would they participate in a photoshoot showing my support squad. From my parents, siblings, nieces and nephews, and bonus uncle and aunties they all showed up and showed out for me 🫶🏾💕🥺 17 people, 17 people who’ve played an important role in my journey.

I’m forever grateful for my family. Huge shoutout to my mom Arachaulo Bright who made our shirts. I haven’t smiled this much in forever yet as you can see in the pictures I couldn’t stop smiling this day.

I love each and every single one of them wholeheartedly 🙏🏽🥰

Support is what saved my life and made my journey so much easier to navigate. I work hard everyday to ensure people impacted by HIV also have support and supportive services available for them ❤️❤️

Here’s to 12 years and a lifetime of continuous support and kicking HIV ass until there’s a cure 🙌🏾 by @_darriyhan

Lately I’ve been hesitant about buying a new iPad and watch yet I told myself the other day I’ve worked hard for it. As my pops would say, “treat yourself” and I did just that.

Good morning ☀️ Taking a moment to reflect on this morning, and acknowledging my personal growth. Many people around me know how much I loved a Vape 💨 buying 2-3 of them every week and having many in the bed with me as well as in my car. I’m happy to share I have been vape free 3 weeks now 🥲😮‍💨🙌🏾

I also haven’t smoked w33d in over a month and haven’t had an alcoholic beverage in 2 weeks 🤭 Much of this change was due to health concerns but the fact I remained committed to letting it go was deserving of a moment of celebration 🥰

Oh also signed up for my first gym membership last week, you’ll catch me at CRUNCH 🏋🏾‍♂️💪🏾🤸🏾‍♂️

Celebrate your moments, some may be say it’s crazy because 2 weeks, a month isn’t a long time but to stop something you’re used to doing daily for even 24 hrs deserves a shout out 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 by @_darriyhan

COWBOY CARTER 🐝🤠 This past Saturday I attended Beyoncé’s concert in Chicago and babyyyy a time was had🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Boots was killing me from all that standing 😂, they came off soon as I got in car and remained off until we got to hotel lol.

I had a great experience and considering attending the Atlanta show now too lol. My mom Arachaulo Bright, uncle Chris Topher, and good ole friend Jashay Rogers Shay Frenzy all looked so damn good 🫶🏾❤️ by @_darriyhan
