🇨🇵/🇬🇧 Ce projet m'aura fait passer par toutes les émotions, mais la satisfaction aujourd'hui est juste incroyable... Je vous l'ai déjà dit, ça faisait 20 ans que j'avais ce projet en tête, et je ne pensais pas un jour le réaliser, et pour un tel résultat! Il n'est pas officiellement terminé, j'ai pas mal de choses à optimiser encore, mais je pense pouvoir dire que j'ai une V1 solide. Les fichiers 3D sont de Emre Kalem sur Makerworld, je l'ai ai modifiés pour les adapter à mes besoins. Architecture : Raspberry 3B+, Esp32, 2 PCA9685, écran 9C9A01, batterie Lipo 3S 12V régulée à 6V, 6 servos SER0066 de chez @dfrobot_official et 12 servos DS3218MG. Controllé par une manette bluetooth 8BitDo Ultimate 2C ~ 🇬🇧 This project has been a total roller coaster, but today my satisfaction is unbelievable... Like I told you before, I’ve had this project in mind for 20 years and never thought I’d actually pull it off, especially with a result like this! It’s not officially done yet, I still have quite a few things to optimize, but I think it’s fair to say I have a solid V1. 3D files by Emre Kalem on MakerWorld, modified them to fit my needs. Architecture: Raspberry Pi 3B+, ESP32, 2 PCA9685, GC9A01 display, 3S 12V LiPo battery regulated to 6V, 6 SER0066 servos from @dfrobot_official , and 12 DS3218MG servos. 🇨🇵/🇬🇧 Mai 2025 - Mai 2026. Un an. Un an pour faire ce droïde, et quand je vois le résultat, je me dis que ça valait le coup! K-2SO est dans hésitation mon droïde préféré de tout l'univers Star Wars, il n'est pas tout mignon comme BB-8, R2-D2 ou BD-1, non, il est immense, mortel, et d'un cynisme inégalé... comment ne pas l'aimer? Énorme fierté de l'avoir terminé, et dans les temps pour l'exposer au @bordeauxgeekfest ! Un ESP32, 2 servos SG90 et deux neopixel rings permettent aux yeux de s'illuminer et de bouger. STL : @droiddivision , la référence pour les droïdes ! Filament : PLA+ @sunlu_official , merci à eux! Imprimé sur ma @bambulab_official X1C et ma @creality_fr K2 Plus pour les pièces les plus imposantes! Abrasifs @sia_abrasives_france (j'en ai consommé un paquet 😅) ~ 🇬🇧 May 2025 - May 2026. One year. One whole year to build this droid, and when I look at the final result, I can honestly say it was worth every second. K-2SO is without hesitation my favorite droid in the entire Star Wars universe. He’s not cute like BB-8, R2-D2, or BD-1, he’s powerful, deadly, and armed with unmatched sarcasm… how could you not love him? I’m incredibly proud to have finished it, and right on time to exhibit it at the @bordeauxgeekfest! An ESP32, two SG90 servos, and two NeoPixel rings bring the eyes to life, making them light up and move. STL: @droiddivision, the gold standard for droids! ROGER ROGER 🇨🇵/🇬🇧 Ce n'est pas sans une certaine fierté que je vous présente enfin mon droïde de combat B1 terminé ! Un beau bébé d'1m93, complet avec son sac à dos de télécommunication, son blaster E-5 et ses jumelles. Et ce n'est pas n'importe quel droïde : ses couleurs sont celles d'OOM-9, le droïde de commandement vu dans La Menace Fantôme ! Ce projet, qui m'a occupé pendant 5 semaines, m'a énormément appris, notamment sur le weathering. (Officiellement : technique pour donner un air usé. Officieusement : technique d'escroc pour se simplifier la vie.) Spoiler alert : vous n'avez pas fini de voir Roger. Un grand merci à @3dhojor_official qui m'a fourni le filament nécessaire. Imprimé sur ma X1C Carbon de chez @bambulab_official et ma K2 Plus Combo de chez @creality_fr ~ 🇬🇧 It's with a certain pride that I finally present to you my completed B1 battle droid! Standing tall at 1.93 meters, fully equipped with a communication backpack, an E-5 blaster, and binoculars. And it's not just any droid — it's painted in the colors of OOM-9, the command droid from The Phantom Menace! This project kept me busy for 5 weeks and taught me a lot, especially about weathering. (Officially: a technique to make it look battle damaged. Unofficially: a sneaky way to make life easier.) Spoiler alert: you're going to see a lot more of him... 🇨🇵/🇬🇧 J'ai enfin donné une personnalité à mon robot, et je suis fier de vous présenter Rocky! (en hommage au livre/film Projet dernière chance). Rien de ce que vous voyez n'est scripté, il voit, entend, réagit, obéit (quand il veut). J'ai commencé ce projet il y a 4 mois et je n'aurais jamais cru en arriver à un tel point... et c'est pas fini, je vous en montre plus très bientôt ! ~ 🇬🇧 I finally gave my robot a personality, and I’m proud to introduce Rocky! (a nod to the book/movie Project Hail Mary). Nothing you see here is scripted: he sees, hears, reacts, and obeys (when he feels like it). 🇨🇵/🇬🇧 Pendant que je continue de bosser sur l'hexapode pour l'améliorer, je commence un nouveau robot car... pourquoi pas ? Mais cette fois il ne marchera pas, il roulera, grâce au châssis à chenilles "Devastator" de chez @dfrobot_official ! Un gain de temps précieux qui me permet de bosser sur son cerveau : pour l'instant je le contrôle manuellement avec ma manette bluetooth (via un ESP32 et un driver moteur L298N), mais ce robot a vocation à être 100% autonome... ~ 🇬🇧 While I keep working on improving the hexapod, I'm starting a new robot because... why not? But this time it won't walk, it'll roll, thanks to the "Devastator" tracked chassis from @dfrobot_official! It's a huge time-saver, since it lets me focus on its brain. For now I'm controlling it manually with my Bluetooth controller (via an ESP32 and an L298N motor driver), but the goal is for this robot to be 100% autonomous... . . . #robotics #robot #esp32 #electronics by @_deadpohl_

🇨🇵/🇬🇧 Mon Transformer préféré a toujours été Soundwave (oui, j'ai 46 ans et un Transformer préféré), donc quand j'ai trouvé ce modèle gratuit chez @toymakr3d , j'ai pas hésité... L'occasion parfaite pour tester mon nouveau bed Cryo envoyé par @bigtreetech_official , combiné à la qualité d'impression de ma @snapmakerinc U1 ça donne un modèle hyper beau sans aucun post-traitement ! ~ 🇬🇧 My favorite Transformer has always been Soundwave (yes, I'm 46 and I have a favorite Transformer), so when I found this free model from @toymakr3d, I didn't hesitate... It was the perfect chance to test my new Cryo build plate sent by @bigtreetech_official. ROBOT DEMO 🇨🇵/🇬🇧 Petite démo de quelques fonctionnalités de mon hexapode : mode FPV grâce à la caméra intégrée, plusieurs skins dispo pour l'œil, emotes programmables comme tendre une patte ou le mode "défensif", possibilité de changer la position du corps et de la conserver pendant la marche, mode Doom... et y en a encore d'autres que je ne vous ai pas montrées, comme le fait de pouvoir changer de type de marche (et oui quand on a 6 pattes on a plus de choix), le mode franchissement pour enjamber les obstacles, et bien d'autres encore... c'est vraiment un bac à sable pour moi! ~ 🇬🇧 A quick demo of some of my hexapod's features: FPV mode using the built-in camera, several custom eye skins, programmable emotes like reaching out a leg or entering defensive mode, body position control with pose lock while walking, Doom mode... and there are still plenty of others I haven't shown yet, like switching gait types (having 6 legs gives you way more options!), obstacle clearance mode, and so much more... it's really an absolute sandbox for me!  . . . #3dprinting #raspberrypi #robotics #electronics #fpv by @_deadpohl_
