Co owner Patrick Chan is a first-generation Chinese American who grew up immersed in the restaurant business. His father ran several Asian restaurants in the suburbs of New York, where him and his brother, Ricky, worked both front and back of house from the age of 13.

In 2016, they brought their experience and vision to San Francisco, opening RM212 as an Asian fusion restaurant. Nine years later, RM212 has evolved into a craft cocktail lounge in the Chinatown/Financial District area, continuing to build on the brothers’ deep-rooted connection to hospitality and the restaurant industry. Blink and you might miss this speakeasy-ish addition on the edge of Chinatown.
