I am sad to say that it has been a year (12/8) since Uncle Bosky; Robert Skafte - was taken from his community & his friends & his family. As I sat watching Sam at stick & puck yesterday, remembering that 12 months ago, that’s where we were while my uncle was losing his life, due to another human being’s documented mental illness w/potential danger to self/others…😕 Our hearts are still broken for this senseless loss to those of us left behind. And everything I have learned about my uncle since this tragedy has made me wish a thousand times that I could trade places with him. He was truly a light in this world, & we need those lights more than ever.🌈☀️
Thinking of & missing you, Uncle Bosky… with broken hearts full of love.🫶

As a beer league score keeper- this is something I miss most about having a little rink w/fewer rules to prevent having fun off the ice as well… & this is a cool, cozy little set-up!! Nice.👍

One game down in Atlanta…3-0 WIN!!👍
We have a short bench; missing some key players, so our boys were tired, but worked hard to get the W!! I surprised Sam by showing up at game time, (a 3.5 hour drive), since I wasn’t doing the tournament games at home. Always a good decision to be here in person!🤗
(Thanks for the ride, Janet!😉)
Keep it up Boys!!👍

This is from our visit to California in July of 2025. It was my 1st time back at our home rink after quite some time & there were many changes, including the new Aliso Viejo Avalanche, who we now root for & follow… This was my first rink to score keep in & I even did travel tournaments where Ryan Getzlaf would be standing across from the score box watching his kid!😉 Sam learned to skate here. And we used to tear up the dry land many nights a week….🤗🥰
This is where it started for us.🫶
