I’ve been having so much fun being a Teachers Assistant this summer for the DPT1 and DPT2 courses while I take a much needed mental break.

Cheers to soon adding to the 4% of Black Physical Therapist in the United States.🎓🎉

It is both an honor and a privilege to sit at the intersection of a lifelong dream and my reality. An endless cycle of tears, prayers, tenacity, favor & grace has gotten me thus far and I am exceedingly grateful! 🥹

📘 February-ish: Wrapping up Sports PT!
This was the class where we dived into sooooo many tapping techniques for muscles, joints, ligaments from head to toe (literally).

Feels: Spongey 🧽
I didn’t realize just how much there is to know! Every class I was soaking it all in. Excited to get to use these skills later down the road. by @_deethedpt

📓: Welcome to Dry Needling Class!

One of the reasons I chose to attend Emory’s DPT program was the opportunity we have to take more advanced courses and/certification classes. “Dry Needling” is one of those certification courses we are allowed to take post-rotations and depending on your practical exam scores, we can graduate with this certification under our belts. Here’s a little sneak peek into day 1 of this class!
