pleasure seeking!

at one point in time i spent long whiles contemplating the psychoanalytic theory of the death drive, and to what extent is desire born from death? in other dark corners of time i have had to convince and compel myself to want to continue living, to hook back into the wanting as a symbol of aliveness. in recent places in time im contemplating the way that an erotic network of experiences can guide the path of desire towards truer and deeper excellence in works and choices.

sometimes i listen to my own music and find that ive been hard after these questions for quite the long swirl of time by @_demiatrix_

holy desire is yours now 🫀

written in 2018/2023

about the uneven dissonance of trying to live an unconventional life, and the feeling of being two different versions of yourself within one relationship

emma lambiase - songwriting, bass, vocals, production, electronic samples, mini flute, cover design
@shknudtson - drums, electronic production, cover photo, cover design
@coleclarke - electric guitar
@notrigb - classical guitar
@nashvilleomnichordsupplyco - mixing, mastering
@andrewwilliamsaudio - engineering

recording made possible by @musicneighbors , Nashville TN

Ive been working on my own music in the background more so for the last few years, due to mental health struggles and working a ton and a general disenchantment with life. So it was hard to release this vulnerable song with its wide open questions. Now I know that I will always be in the middle of these questions! The pressure is off and also on…

I am excited to say this is the first release of several in the lead up to a full length album.

enjoy!
