“Destyne, why give the things of this world up to follow Jesus?”

Because when I was at my lowest Jesus reached His hand of mercy out and pulled me from the ocean of my mistakes.

He washed me of all my sins and in replace gave me a new identity. He gave me purpose. He gave me power that only comes through Him for HIS glory. He’s using ME for HIS glory. He’s using ME to help lead others to HIM.

You don’t know the path I was headed on and His grace stopped me on the road of my sin and gave me a new direction. A new way of life instead of the way I was heading.

There’s so much peace. There’s so much joy.
I’m able to love others with a passion I didn’t know I had. I’m able to love myself. I’m able to realize that Jesus loves me and I don’t have to go looking for it in different things because the love that Jesus has for me is sufficient, it’s unlike any other.

And I’m not saying my life is 100% perfect and all sunshine’s. Rain comes.. storms come but my foundation is built on Him, so I will not be shaken.

So that’s why I give up trying to fit into the customs of this world.
And I give in to following Jesus with everything that’s in me. In Him I find completeness. I find joy. I find hope.

and I finish this by saying..
IF HE DID IT FOR ME, HE WILL DO IT FOR YOU!
