Frozen in time, scarred by history. This haunting shell was once Architect Ahmed Džuvić’s modern marvel: the Olympic Hotel, built for the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Games. A symbol of global unity and sporting pride, it welcomed the world in 1982. Just a decade later, it was gutted by fire during the 1990s conflict. Now, it stands as a powerful international monument—a stark reminder of how quickly peace can fracture and how enduring the wounds of war can be. Skopje from above. The 1963 earthquake flattened most of the city, and what came after was one of the wildest rebuilds in Yugoslavia. Kenzo Tange drew the master plan, local architects filled it in. First shot is the post office counter hall by Janko Konstantinov, finished in 1981. Eight concrete wedges, and from the drone it looks like a star. Behind it is his telecom tower. Then the train station, where the tracks run on top of the building. The red thing at the end I have no idea about. Found it in a park.
