Spending a lot of time with these faces lately and what they had to say about their experiences in June 1969. Almost all of them were younger than I am now, broke and angry and ferociously hopeful.

I’m gathering folks to read through their eyewitness accounts of the Stonewall riots this month, Wednesdays at 7pm. Come talk history—or bullshit, as Major might call it. Link in bio to RSVP.

You are the performer. A single tree is your audience. 🌳

Step inside a tiny red-curtain theatre, take your script and spend 15 minutes performing for one very leafy audience member.

Through stories, prompts and small actions, ARBORLOGUES: A Botanical Recital Performed for One Tree from Ofo Theater invites you into a quiet exchange with a tree, the land beneath it and the living system you’re part of.

No crowd. No applause. Just you and the tree.

📍 St. Stephen’s Green Park
🗓️ 6–13 September
🎟️ Tickets from €8

I’ve spent the past few years gathering gossip about the Stonewall riots, and I need your help wading through it. Wednesday evenings August 5–19, I’m hosting a drop-in reading and discussion series I’m calling a “salon” to explore the many eyewitness accounts of the Stonewall riots I’ve collected and adapted for my docutheatre project A THOUSAND STONEWALLS. We’ll read them together, then discuss their contexts, contradictions, our personal resonances, counterpoints, frustrations, questions, etc.

Yes there is reading aloud! BUT fear not, my shy friends, this space welcomes anyone with a relationship to queer history and Stonewall’s complex mythology.

This research has changed my life. These testimonies are challenging, electrifying, bitchy, vain, confusing, haunting, sweet, and sexy. I can’t wait to hear if you agree.

RSVP to any of the three sessions via the link in my bio:

August 5, 7–9pm, Mercury Store, Gowanus
August 12, 7–9pm, Mercury Store, Gowanus
August 19, 7–9pm, Soft Butch, Bed-Stuy
