A little pink-on-pink moment because of course she had to choose the pink Bilibo Midi 💗

Miss 2 is absolutely obsessed with these and somehow manages to find a new way to enjoy them every day. I love having open-ended play pieces like this in our playroom because they encourage independent and creative play without needing much direction.

So when I caught her sitting here matching the pink one… I had to snap a photo.

Pink is definitely a favourite around here.

Someone asked me this three times last week 🎁

Six turns up the year everyone starts school, which means the parties do too, and September is quietly the biggest birthday month of the year.

So here's the eight things I actually hand people.
🎯 Tossit, magnetic, works on the deck or the grass
🧊 Shashibo, folds into shapes, and adults steal it
🌭 Dog Man Flip-O-Rama, and if they've read the books they're in before you finish explaining
🃏 SLAPZI, teaches in a minute, ends in an argument
🦕 Clixo Dino Adventure Pack, bends and clicks, packs flat for the car
🌀 ZipString, does loops in the air and they will not put it down
🚀 Air Powered Bubble Rocket, stomp it and it goes up
🧩 Gravity Maze Builder, sixty challenges, and the only one on this list that buys you a quiet half hour

Save this one. You'll need it in a fortnight.

Pop in, tell us the age and the budget, and we'll get you out the door fast.

Whose party are you buying for?

Here are our pastel Bilibo Midis in action! The kids have been having so much fun exploring different ways to play with them, especially alongside our Oogis.

I love that these encourage open-ended, screen-free play, and the pastel colours fit so beautifully in our playroom.

I can’t wait to show you more of how the kids play with them, especially outdoors. They’re also perfect for water play, so I know these will be getting lots of use beyond the playroom too!

I don’t usually use the word “best” - especially when it comes to puzzles. After all, most puzzles follow the same basic formula: pieces + patience + assemble = DONE. But there’s something about this Poppik World Tour Discovery Puzzle (500pc) that makes it one of our top favourite puzzles ever - and I can’t wait to tell you why! Thank you @_divisiblebyzero_ for providing us with a copy.

Why I love ❤️ it:

(1) Designed by Victor Medina, this 500-piece puzzle and accompanying poster is basically a mini world tour - without the jet lag! The vintage-inspired illustration is SO beautiful. Soft colours, a light turquoise ocean and all those little details make the whole thing feel wonderfully romantic and nostalgic. There’s a compass tucked into the bottom left, what looks like Aeolus (the ruler of the winds) blowing across the world from the top right, and each ocean is marked with a lovely ribbon-style banner. Look closer and you’ll find tiny surprises everywhere - planes, sailing boats, whales, an angler fish, a submarine… and even what looks suspiciously like a Loch Ness Monster lurking in the Pacific near North America!

(2) included is a poster map - with each important landmark numbered and with its name listed on the right in English and French, grouped by continent. You’ll find landmarks and natural wonders including the Forbidden City in Asia, the Great Barrier Reef in Oceania, Angel Falls in South America, the Golden Gate Bridge in North America, the Sahara dunes in Africa and the Sagrada Família in Europe. So while the kids are puzzling, they’re also quietly learning geography - sneaky learning at its best!

(3) And THIS might be our favourite feature! The puzzle pieces are the same size and scale as the illustrations on the poster. So you can simply place the piece over the poster to compare and cross-check. The finished puzzle measures 462 × 326 mm, which is also a great size for our mini working table.

(4) Made in France using responsibly sourced paper, including PEFC and FSC-certified materials. A beautiful puzzle, a geography lesson and a little world adventure all in one.

The kids are feeling it, I’m feeling it. The end of school term is in sight and we’re very excited to have more time together. Yes, we are all so exhausted but the beginning of spring with the warm humid morning kickstart our days in the right way. I absolutely love it!

Can’t wait to see more of these at play.

We feel so lucky to be one of the first to get our hands on the new pastel Bilibo Midis 🤍✨

These 29cm spinning shells are designed for toddlers 2+ and we’ve been having so much fun finding different ways to use them for open-ended toddler play.

Today’s favourite? Pairing them with our Oogis and seeing who can pick them up, carry them and move them around.

I love finding simple toddler toys that encourage movement, balance and imagination without needing a whole setup. The Bilibo Midis are compact, lightweight and perfect for active play at home, in the playroom or even outdoors.

And how gorgeous is this new pastel six-piece set?!

If you’re looking for open-ended toys, screen-free activities or new ways to keep your toddler busy, these are such a fun one to add to the playroom

Comment BILIBO and I’ll send you the link!

Trying to get through homeschool with little brothers in the mix is always an adventure 😅

So while the big brothers were getting stuck into their schoolwork, the little ones set up a very important Pokémon island mission.

A tray of water, some Mini Bilibos flipped upside down and a handful of Pokémon ready to explore. Nothing fancy just a little invitation to play that kept them happily occupied for a while.

The mini bilibos can become whatever the game calls for. Today they’re tiny islands, tomorrow they might be boats, bowls or hermit crabs 🐚

It’s the kind of simple play that doesn’t need much planning or a long list of materials. Just a few pieces, a bit of imagination and plenty of stories to make up along the way.

And if it buys you enough time to finish a maths lesson without interruption, even better 😜

Best friends forever 🐾

Kenzie and K are never far from each other. Watching their bond grow every day is such a beautiful thing, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the friendship they share.

Kenzie can be quite choosy about who gets to touch her paws, but with K, apparently anything goes, as long as she gets his attention.

EXEC FUNCTIONING GAME PLAY // ▶️

Want to work on your child's Executive Functioning Skills? The executive functioning is like the brain's command centre - responsible for impulse control, cognitive flexibility, focus and working memory.

Rather than reaching for a worksheet, game play means that learning doesn't feel like a chore - through connection and play. Powerhouse learning packs a punch - I'm here for it - yes please!

One of our long term faves (if you've followed for a few years you will have seen this game lots on our stories) is Buildzi Building Game.

There's 7 ways to play, solo or against others, can time yourself / beat the clock / first to finish, spatial reasoning - 2D picture to 3D builds, anticipating pieces falling, focusing and concentration... so much learning at hand.

We were super excited to receive a parcel from @moluk_design and @_divisiblebyzero_ These Midi Bilibos are not only stunning in their pastel colours but are also so much fun!

Little Miss dove straight in to testing them out and showing some of the ways she plays. I on the other hand was sitting back watching and smiling about how much of a vestibular system work out she was getting, building the foundations for cognitive development!

Bilibo Midi activities - part 1

Curious how we use our Bilibo at home?

The kids usually take charge of what they want to do with them, but this time, Jake got involved and started calling out which colours they needed to pick. I thought they were competitive before, but gosh… they are FAST. 😂

I love how something so simple can turn into a little movement game, while sneaking in colour recognition, listening, coordination and a whole lot of fun.

And honestly, watching them race around trying to find the right colours was half the fun. 💛🩷💚💙💜🤍

More Bilibo play coming in part 2!
