A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WHO CAME ON SATURDAY ❤️❤️❤️

It was full of the best energy and vibes as always GROOVE JUNCTION no.5 was magical!

Thanks SO MUCH to all the DJ’s - music was OUTSTANDING all evening with @dj.bong opening the night and creating a beautiful atmosphere with a soulful yet funky flavour as people arrived - then @beer_and_breakbeats continued to build the energy with a fusion of hip hop and funky breaks. These 2 shared their experience and brilliant selections to set the tone with perfection!

BPM’s went up a notch with the arrival of @_dj_emma_ and @davemc3bee with a melting pot of UKG, Bass and House with a little burst of DNB to finish (and some excellent MC’ing from MC-3 Bee)

Next up was our headliner @gardnauk with his amazing Dj @joeseviour - and WOW - all I saw was a captivated dancefloor and smiling faces enjoying a magnificent set from the Bristol artist - it was SUCH a vibe ❤️

Finally our local treasure - the hugely talented @harrimacdj took us to close with her fabulous set of 174BPM jungle and DNB with some absolutely DYNAMITE selections.

Thanks to our wonderful creative team especially @designcraft.biz for the truly spectacular set and the volunteers who gave up their time to help put it up @wiltshire_timber_frame Herbie and Archie and Matty aka DJ Matt Kerley!

@zeph.miles - our SUPERB host 🫶🏼🫶🏼

The lighting from @aarrchiiee - stunning as always 😊

The extra sound provided by @major.tom.audio - OMG - that BASS - it sounded superb 👌

And to the whole team, management, security, bar staff and volunteers at @wiltscreative ❤️❤️

And to @clairesheppardphotography who took these exceptional photos 📸

And my amazing little flyering team - I appreciate you @maddy.ryalls @grace.whitmarsh @gabe.279 and @joerusse11

Everyone has worked so hard to make this a party to remember and I appreciate all of you!

As always - I want to say thanks again for buying tickets - I know how skint we all our are and it really means a lot that you come along and support the night 🫶🏼

See you in October!!

WE ARE THE MOTHERFOGGING DJ’s SERIES 3 is HERE…

And who better to start this season with the wonderful duo @wildbloodandqueenie

Here’s a few clips of this excellent episode recorded at @voices_hq

Series 3 Episode 1 - Wildblood & Queenie: DJing, Sobriety & Queer Nightlife

What happens when two queer club-culture legends spend 33 years together, DJ their way through three decades of nightlife, get sober, and somehow still want to be on the dancefloor? We find out.

In this episode of ‘Were the Motherfogging DJs’, Shanaz & Emma are joined by Wildblood & Queenie — DJs, promoters, broadcasters, activists and lifelong champions of LGBTQ+ nightlife. From Brighton’s early-90s club scene and ‘Shameless Hussies’ to Candy Bar, Wild Fruit and beyond, they take us on a brilliantly honest trip through the highs, chaos and changing face of club culture. Their lives are basically a living history of queer club culture.

In this gloriously unfiltered episode they get into Brighton’s club scene, wild nights, sobriety, sex and relationships, vinyl, Pride, female DJs, neurodiversity, accessibility & getting older in nightlife. There are topless DJs. There are bongos. There are fish fingers. There are hangovers. There are love notes. There are also some surprisingly profound thoughts about Jesus.

Amongst the laughs there’s serious stuff too: creating genuinely inclusive dancefloors, making space for disabled and neurodivergent DJs, challenging all-male line-ups, and why sometimes talking to people gets further than shouting at them.

Expect big tunes, big laughs & big tangents. If you’ve ever wondered whether you can still rave, DJ, love music and cause a little trouble as you get older… this one’s for you.
