Keeping up with my monthly mixes, I’ve curated one dedicated to @kelela because she’s back with new music and I’m so excited! Making this made me reflect on when I discovered Kelela, which was 10 years ago at a small stage at a festival and that was literally from following her sound. I found curating and recording this mix very satisfying, very happy I got to mix new music from a few of my favourite DJ/producers too. Link in the bio, enjoy :) 🔊

@saultglobal appreciation post! I was lucky enough to go to their Soho pop-up, and it felt so special to be part of their jam session — and to sing with Cleo Sol herself! I also saw her perform at the Royal Albert Hall in 2023, which remains one of the most moving live shows I’ve been to.

I left the pop-up with a jumper and a vinyl record, which also happened to be my first ever vinyl purchase — a small but meaningful milestone for me. It was equally inspiring to see SAULT headline All Points East this summer, where they curated a performance that blended music, dance and drama in a way that felt both distinctive and true to their identity as a collective.

I’m always on the lookout for edits, flips and remixes of tracks by SAULT and Cleo Sol — something a few of my reels probably give away.

I am so excited to share about my visit to the BBC Broadcasting House! We were welcomed by an assistant producer and her team, and they took us to the 8th floor which is home to most of the BBC radio stations. As a BBC radio listener, particularly a fan of Benji B’s show on Radio 1, it was incredible for me to see! During our visit, we even had the chance to practise a mock radio show which was really fun. After our session, we continued our tour which included the Live Lounge, and it was so special to see it in real life. The visit ended with lots of well wishes and gratitude.
