Being a parent is wild because every day is SOMETHING. Sometimes exciting, sometimes stressful, and sometimes a bug bites your kid at soccer practice and the next morning his eye is almost swollen shut!

Was this on today’s schedule? Absolutely not. Was he supposed to be at school for important exams? Yep. But life happens.

Here’s my very sad boy making the best of a crappy situation.

First day of school 2026. 🥹📚♥️

And somehow, I’m sending one baby out into the world while keeping the other one right here beside me. Two completely different journeys this year and my heart is so full over both of them.

Aiden is officially a 5th grader.

His LAST first day of elementary school. 😭 I truly don’t understand how we got here so fast. In my mind, he should still be my little boy I used to walk into kindergarten, and now I’m looking at this big, fearless kid, ready to follow his dreams and take on the world. I pray that God goes before you in every step, protects you wherever you go, and guides you through everything this new chapter brings.

Part of me wishes I could keep him home with us too, but the opportunity he has at his new school was simply too special to pass up. I am SO excited for everything waiting for him there. New experiences, new challenges, and so many opportunities to learn, grow, and discover who he is becoming. I’m incredibly proud of him. 🥺

And then there’s my Addie girl, my sweet 3rd grader. 💕

This year we are beginning our homeschool journey together, and I genuinely don’t think I can put into words what a gift this feels like.

I get a front row seat to her childhood in a completely new way. I get to see what sparks her curiosity, slow down when she needs it, dive deeper into what excites her, and watch those little moments when something finally clicks. We get to read together, talk about her million questions, and turn ordinary days into learning.

But the greatest gift is simply time with her. More mornings, more conversations, more little moments, and more time to know this version of her before she grows into the next one. I know I’ll be grateful for this season forever. 💖

Somehow motherhood is constantly teaching me how to hold on and let go at the same time.

Time is moving entirely too fast. I swear I blinked and my babies got big.

I’ve prayed for many things in this life but if there’s one prayer God answered beyond anything I could have imagined, it’s the father He gave my children.

You show up every single day. Not just for the big moments, but for all the little ones that often go unnoticed. The practices, the games, the competitions, the early mornings, the late nights, the rides, the hugs, the lessons, the patience, and the love. You give so much of yourself without ever asking for recognition.

Our children are growing up knowing what it feels like to be deeply loved, protected, supported, and chosen by their dad. That is a gift I will never take for granted.

Watching you be a father has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. The way you love our children, sacrifice for them, guide them, and put them first every single day makes me admire you more than you’ll ever know.

You are their biggest fan, their safe place, and one of God’s greatest gifts to our family.

We are so incredibly lucky to have you. Thank you for being steady, patient, present, and for being the kind of father our children will look back on one day and thank God for too.

Happy Father’s Day to the man who makes our family stronger, happier, and better simply by being in it.

The kids and I love you and appreciate you dearly. 🏆♥️

May 21st, 2021.

Somehow it feels like yesterday and a lifetime ago all at once.

Time really is a thief. One day you’re holding their tiny hands, and before you know it, they’re growing into little people with personalities, opinions, dreams, and independence.

We went for a walk by the ocean on vacation last week, and out of nowhere she asked me if we could jog together.

That little moment stayed with me because kids are really always watching. They inherit your habits, your mindset, and the way you treat yourself.

I’m trying to show her that movement is a privilege, taking care of yourself matters, and healthy can still be soft, beautiful, and full of joy.

I want her to grow up knowing that strength and self love can exist together. That being healthy isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up for yourself again and again, even in the smallest ways.

Strong, healthy habits start at home. 🤍
