I wrote "Instructions To Cry" on a whim in late 2024 after feeling disillusioned from pouring myself into projects that never received much traction. A whole year passed and I (again) shifted my focus onto other's projects. It wasn't until late 2025 that Jacob told me he had signed up to do the "Kodak 100ft of Film Challenge" where you literally only have 100ft (2 and a half minutes of footage!!) and remembered my script. The clouds I carried above my head finally faded! Not only were we gonna make a film, we were gonna shoot on real 16mm film for the first time too!

Ironically, I wrote a short about never having seen my male family members cry, then the literal day we shot it was the day my brother fell into a coma. After he woke up, we all finally cried together! Not just tears of pent up sadness but also of joy over getting another chance at life. On Monday we screened our short next to other amazing projects at @plazaatlanta. An event so sold out that it played on 3 different screens simultaneously! I even got to go on stage and explain a bit of backstory! I custom sewed my skirt for the night, I made pins to give to friends, and I finally poured myself into my own project instead. I genuinely adore and am so proud of our little whimsy retro film. Thank you so much to the cast and crew who poured their love into this and thank you to @atlfilmsociety and @kodakfilmlabatl for this opportunity!

A bit ago I directed some vertical promo videos for a song and built this tiny room myself. As it often goes, the things you spend the most time on get seen the least. So here's some BTS of the build in hopes more people see my work, hopefully even getting the attention of the bigger local musicians I want to work with. I art direct everything I do because because I know I'm a well-rounded director that offers unique concepts and I believe in those ideas enough to execute them myself (you will not find me directing another all black warehouse setup or white cyc wall shoot) so I hope you enjoy these kinds of posts!! 🖤 by @_domenicca_

The year of blue: blue Corpse Bride, blue Twilight filter, and blue short films! Blue feelings often overridden by the support of kind friendships and collaborators. It's all about how you take things, so I'll choose to take only the best 🦋🩵🪁 by @_domenicca_

Here's how I made this custom build for @sumhoop Zero Sugar Violence music video directed by me! ✨ Summer liked the idea of a glass box so I suggested a Snow White type of casket that would portray the song's themes of a toxic relationship, one where the other person purposely hurts you and makes you feel idolized all at once; a relationship that gives you lows that make you think you'll die, to then have highs that feel like you're in a fairy tale - one that will never get it's happy ending.
