Oh Lambkin…

I was SO happy to finally wear Varré in a way that I was proud of AND get good pics! Big shout out to @bunhead_jo for the excellent shots of my favorite little blood cultist!

Elden Ring is such a great game and I hope to get more Elden Ring or FromSoft costumes built out next year. They’re a delight to make and wear!

I finally got to Shisui this weekend at aNYC (shhh - no spoilers please! 🤫) and I had a lovely little mantis in a bug cage (not real!) If you saw me, please say hi!

Since the moment she came on screen, I loved her. She’s joyous, unapologetically herself, she loves bugs? I see so much of myself in her.

Wow! Can you believe I turned 37 last Tuesday? To celebrate, Liz took me and some of our closest loved ones to Medieval Times in Lyndhurst. It was a blast! I finally got to live my dream of being a jester (Jester Bear can attest to this being a long time dream!) and everyone was so cool in their costumes and met the brief!

Thanks to my wife Liz for always loving me and finding ways for me to be a little foolish. Thanks to Logan, the Rachels, and Sam for being my friends and siblings and loving me! Thanks to the NJ Medieval times staff and cast for being amazing and thanks to all my friends and loved ones who reached out but couldn’t be there - I love you all and am lucky to get to circle this planet another year with you!

FINALLY! A cosplay dream come true thanks to @chawpstix

I got to cosplay Lady Oscar at Momocon 2026 and it was so fun! I met so many great folks and hung out with all my friends and felt truly at my best in this costume. I’ve always loved Lady Oscar, who for me as a non-binary lesbian who leans more masc, means the world. She’s a character who so many queer individuals have found connection through and I finally got to be her.

You know a show is good when the bass literally reverberates up your body and through your clothes - which is exactly what I felt at @failurebandig ‘s concert at @lprnyc last night (with promising Jersey boys @allunderhvn as the opening act! Also good bass and riffs!)

Hello! WOW @castlepointanime was a blast! Here we are a week out and I’m still gassed up 🔥🔥🔥🔥

I’ve been wearing my Kitaro cosplay for years now (I think 2018 or 2019?) and I don’t think I’ve ever had such a positive reception? So many people recognized me, which was a shock. Additionally, I got the honor of hosting my new panel, How Anime Saved Yokai, for the first time! 71 people attended and at a couple points the room was standing room only. Thank you for trusting me to teach you about Shigeru Mizuki and how he skillfully merged Yokai with pop culture to save them from the brink of destruction. You were all so engaged and awesome to present for!

Thank you @subliminal.vamps for taking this great video of my walk on at the @castlepointanime cosplay runway! I had so much fun meeting everyone and congrats to all the winners of the masquerade and hall contest. To everyone who competed or even walked - thank you for sharing your cosplays and keep sharing them! Also huge shout out to the castle point staff for a smooth con!

Over the years I’ve been trying to learn when to let go of my goals as needs and prioritize myself. I’m not always good at it, and this con was def a lesson in that. I had intended to host a panel, make a new build to compete in, and walk. But then I had a death in the family and lots of travel. The panel got finished, but the cosplay build was tabled and I HATED it. But I am glad! Sometimes just having fun, letting go of competition and perfection and wearing your gag costume in a runway show - is the best thing for your heart! by @_dr_dandy_

Behold! The best cosplay prop I think I’ve ever made - MEDAMA OYAJI!

I can’t believe it took me this long to make daddy eyeball, despite having cosplayed as Kitaro for years! But with my new Yokai panel and my need for cooler cosplays these days, Kitaro will be seen a lot this year and I thought Medama Oyaji needed to be made! He’s fully posable, washable, and super cute! Plus I got to bust out my old amigurumi skills. Ge ge ge ge ge ge ge!
