🎂✨ Today, I’m simply grateful to be here. Grateful for another year, another chapter, and another opportunity to become everything I’m meant to be.
I truly feel like this is my season to shine. 🌟 A season of growth, elevation, beautiful experiences, answered prayers, and things happening for me that I once only dreamed about.
I’ve been through enough to know that I deserve beautiful things too. I’m walking into this year with a grateful heart, a renewed spirit, and the confidence that what’s meant for me is finding me. 🤍

Happy Birthday BEST 🥳🥳🥳

Having you in my life for over two decades makes me feel extremely blessed. We have survived EVERY season imaginable and have gotten closer than ever in the process. I am so grateful that we get to do life together (with only a few miles between us this go-round). Thank you for loving me unconditionally, doting on my babies, being my safe space, supporting me, and always being my laughing partner (even when we’re not supposed to be 😭🤣).

Forever my best friend. I appreciate you so, so much. I’ve got you always. I am so GODLY proud of you and how you’ve learned to make room for JOY and REAL love in this season. You are so deserving.

October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month 💛
When we talk about awareness, I want people to understand that spina bifida is so much more than what you can see on the outside. This picture is just a small glimpse into the reality of what I experience as Grayson’s mom and the things I have to constantly think about that others may not realize.
Today, something as simple as finding out that Grayson had a migraine immediately brought worry to me. For another child, a headache may simply be a headache. But with Grayson’s spina bifida, I have learned that something that seems small can sometimes be a sign that something much deeper is happening behind the scenes.
I have to consider things like spinal cord tethering, neurological changes, or even urological complications that can contribute to symptoms such as headaches and migraines. That means I don't just hear, “My head hurts.” I have to wonder, Why? What is his body trying to tell me? Is something changing? Is there something happening that we can't see?
This is the part of spina bifida that isn't always visible.
The appointments, the catheterizations, the bowel routines, the monitoring, the questions, the constant vigilance, and the moments of fear that come with trying to understand every new symptom all of it is part of our everyday life.
So this month, when you see Spina Bifida Awareness, I hope you remember that awareness isn't just about knowing what spina bifida is. It's about understanding the lifelong, often invisible challenges that come with it and the parents and children navigating them every single day.
Grayson is so much more than his diagnosis, but his diagnosis is a part of his story and our story. 💛

Looking back at your pictures today made things too real for me again that you are not here. Its paining me more than im putting on. I miss you. Sometimes so bad time freezes and I feel stuck.
