Call Sheet: Finding Black Filmmakers On Set is an on going photo series documenting the work of Black filmmakers. Anyone that has worked in video production has received the call sheet - essentially a daily blueprint for a film shoot. For Black audio engineers, gaffers and production assistants, sometimes the call sheet is the stark reminder that they may be the "only" on set. This behind the scenes photo series is about highlighting the very talented Black filmmakers as they try navigating their place in film, and make room for their own stories.

Thank you to @_tanishablakely for helping me solidify the title and concept, @ericdseals for having the best interview setups in the country,
the entire @Digife team, @troyal77 for helping me w/ this book, Alyssa & Michelle over at @prismworkshop and everyone that appeared on camera.

I want to wish a happy birthday to my best friend, my wife, and my forever taco eating partner, @_tanishablakely. Love you.

(Um...yeah. I may or may not have had some cookies and chips by the couch and may or may not have left some crumbs on the carpet last night. I'll clean it up this weekend.) by @_dseals

Shout out to my brother @_dseals for starting a yearly men’s BBQ for the Evans family.

It’s great to get together as a family. We don’t do it as much as we did when we were younger, so moments like this mean a lot. Just being able to connect, hang out, fellowship, and be family is something I really appreciate.

I’m truly blessed. by @_dseals

Since Fall 2022, our team has had the honor of partnering with the Obama Presidential Center and other collaborators to develop and produce several films in the museum, shape the look of original interviews, and coordinate productions across the country.

We're proud to be one of only two Chicago-based production companies that contributed to this historic project. After years of work, it’s been incredibly rewarding to see early visitors experience these stories firsthand, and we can’t wait for the world to take it all in.

More behind-the-scenes reflections to come.
