There is where the mighty nightclub Cinderella's once stood...

The empty, flattened, gravel ground reminds me of Brian DePalma's (1976) Stephen King classic Carrie.... As I walked over the area it felt like a horde's hands, at any moment, may pull me under.

**NEW SINGLE - AVAILABLE NOW**

'All These Pretty Things (I Fear)'

https://dunkie.bandcamp.com/album/all-these-pretty-things-i-fear

"This song has been a long time coming. From its tiny original acoustic demo to finished studio production it seems to have taken a lifetime. So much has happened in-between.

We've promised, and by now it seems like we've threatened, new material for eons. I suppose we have. We've not intentionally held back, sitting on new songs but not done nothing with them. Honestly, I thought we'd not been doing much for a long time. But it turns out that we have actually been slowly working, but we just haven't finished anything...

So this year we've thrown ourselves into getting a few things finished that we promised ourselves we'd do.

Camp dunkie has had a few life changing things taken place in our lives, both mentally and physically, and what it meant was that it stopped us being able to enjoy ourselves.

Now we've had a little time to heal and focus on what makes us happy and that means getting songs finished and playing a few gigs. And from this has come the fruits of our labour ☺️😀

New songs... We're aiming to release a few singles before the end of the year, so watch the skies at the beginning and end of each month before the start of 2027.

And so, here we are, with our first offering... A new single, and honestly we feel so good about this one. We think it's a corner changer.

We want to thank you for sticking with us, and continually showing your support across the socials and at live gigs. We hope you enjoy the new single. Please let us know your thoughts!" - Anthony / dunkie

A Complete Masterpiece. Discuss...

My love affair for this album and this band began at the height of my passion of finding my own music.

It's served me well and truly mentally since it's release and will continue to do so undoubtedly until my dying moment on this mortal coil.

When every single song, in its songwriting, production, and musicianship is as good as this we should all take our seats.

But instead this album inspires, it creates life and love in everything that is good. It instills positivity. It's romantic, but not necessarily in the ways of love, but I'm the ways of living.

It's glorious. It's beautiful. It's rich in harmonies; musically and in what it deeply provides my ears each and every time.

I go back to this album because it's an old friend, one that supports and encourages me to move forward.

I love this album. I always will.

Thank you Jellyfish x

"An Eagle for an Emperor, a Gyrfalcon for a King; a Peregrine for a Prince, a Saker for a Knight, a Merlin for a Lady; a Goshawk for a Yeoman, a Sparrowhawk for a Priest, a Musket for a Holy water Clerk, a Kestrel for a Knave.... a plush toy for a dunkie." by @_dunkie

A sneak little 30 mins recording of acoustic guitar this afternoon for a new recording that's been years in the making.

For a long time there's been a track I wrote that's always hit the right spot for me in my song writing. It was in part inspired by a song my friend (David 'Dot' Thomas) sang which surrounded the saddening and sickening disaster in Aberfan, of October 1966.

This disaster killed 116 children and 28 adults as it engulfed Pantglas Junior School and a row of houses.

Living in the South Wales Valleys the story of this event hung heavy over me as a young child, and they continued to haunt me.

When I delivered newspapers a decade or so later the Western Mail would commemorate these lives, and interview surviving members of the disaster, and direct family members.

Life and death are just one moment away from each other, and the tragic passing of such young lives have left behind such ripples of grief forever more to the communities, the families and the surrounding Valleys.

One of the first lyrics I wrote was ".. to turn a paper boy to stone", and I called the song 'Granite'.

Over the years I've played it stripped back acoustic, and one of the biggest honours was when Cameron Pyke, an open mic musician and now good friend, said how much he liked it and we played an impromptu version with him taking lead guitar duties.

We later recorded a live demo version in house Barn and I promised that one day we'd record it with him taking lead guitar duties and we'd make it big.

So... Fast forward to today and we're still making it big, and hopefully it will be included as one of our forthcoming releases.

In tribute 💚💚💚

Are you looking to increase your weekly music streaming tracks?

Then play a gig in @lepublicspace / @lepub Newport and please your Saudi Arabian fans no end 🥰🥰

Our streams have increased tenfold! 🤣 Although it's probably because the lovely fans of @theedarlingbuds took us under their wing and gave us gorgeous love throughout and afterwards.
