I’ve spent the majority of my life telling other people’s stories.

What an honor to be included in the Howard County Historical Society 2026 Hall of Legends.

Legend is a big word. But I see this recognition as a reflection of my journey to build a life that I am really proud of. When I became a 17 year old mom, Small minds within my hometown tried really hard to deter my dreams and crush my spirit. Publicly advocating against me and even publishing a cartoon of a pregnant girl giving a graduation speech in our school paper. So receiving this honor was quite a full circle moment.

I’m so glad I could share this night with so many amazing people from all different phases of my life.

I’m beyond grateful.

I’ve still got work to do, but cheers to building a legendary life! 💕🥂

I’ve lost count how many #NABJ conventions I’ve attended - hungry for any and everything I could learn from the professionals. Now, *I* am the one sharing my career journey! 🥹 But, the icing on the cake was catching up with my friends and ABC colleagues. So many hugs, laughs and a whole lot of wisdom shared. I’m doing it! *squeals*

This year I committed to finding a hobby. Something that allows me to slow down, and just be. Something completely separate from my job. Something I enjoy and want to do!

Griffin gifted me a pottery class for Mother’s Day and in just 3 weeks I can see the progress!

I’m more confident on the wheel and the pieces are getting better. I can’t wait until I can make a large vase or a planter! ❣️
