“Somewhere I Go”

i introduce to you all… my very first painting.
a piece that will forever hold such a special place in my heart and one that i am so, so proud of.

i challenged myself to create something completely new for @artists_next_door art exhibition, and after weeks of eat, sleep, paint, repeat (heavy on the paint, questionable on the eating 😭), a few emotional rollercoasters and a whole lotta love poured into this piece, i can finally say that it was all SO worth it.

the amount of love and kindness shown towards my artwork has genuinely left me lost for words. to see something that once existed only in my imagination become something real, and then have others appreciate it too? i don’t think i’ll ever forget that feeling. 🥹

being part of something so meaningful, surrounded by such incredibly talented artists, has been nothing short of magical. this whole experience has reminded me that i’m exactly where i’m meant to be, doing what i love.

happy belated bertday to my twin!!! i’ll keep this one short and sweet otherwise i would write a novel of all the things i love about you. you are genuinely THE bestest brother i could ever wish for. you inspire more than you know and make me beyond proud of everything you have overcome and achieved. there is absolutely no one on earth that could share the type of bond we have, it is rare and irreplaceable and i wouldn’t trade it for the world. if we had the opportunity to do life over and over i’d choose you for a brother every time. you are my blessing i love you xxx by @_ebonymckenzie
