The first week of grad school in NYC was crazy and I loved every second of it!

Process shots from my Worlds Beyond Number: The Wizard, The Witch, and The Wild One fanart! It's quickly become one of my favorite illustrations, even in the very early stages❤️

This is going to be focusing on The Witch of The World's Heart: Ame & The Fox + Grandma Wren & Taro
The style is going to lean heavily into folk art, plus some style characteristics from japanese art, as a nod to Erika Ishii: as Ame

I've been playing around with what process works best for me, and I've returned to loosely sketched ideas, photobashing a more specific reference and fleshing out one aspect at a time instead of working the entire image. Which has been strangely helpful for dealing with my perfectionism.

With AI stealing everyone's work and people second guessing whether a work of art is real or not, I'm experimenting with these very "unpolished" post formats. Hopefully, showing a little more behind the scenes will help with the inherent mistrust of things we see online, plus make it harder to steal art and feed to an AI bot

Big collection of photos from the last decade!
I've been closing down my old art account, and I didn't want to lose these memories (even if they've become more grainy with each instagram update)
Maybe in another decade, I'll have another fun collection to look back on❤️

It was an honnor and a privilege to work with the @love.your.labels crew to put on this year's ethereal gala event for @thequeeraf ❤️ by @_electric_pen_

This old shed was built into the hillside behind the small castle I painted back in the summer of 2019 when I was really into the 2inch x 3 inch format, something about it just makes me happy

I am always thinking about merch designs, and iv been watching a lot of @gamechangershow this week, so I felt particularly inspired 😊
I wanted the design to have that vintage bowling shirt look, and im too happy with it to leave it on my computer in a folder forever, so im sharing it here!

I got back into video games recently, and im really proud of the mummy design! If you've made it to Baulders Gate in BG3, you probably recognize them as the face painter from The Circus of The Last Days! by @_electric_pen_
