my guardian angel 🪽,
there aren’t enough words to thank you for everything you did for michaela, lena and i growing up. always having us over for sleepovers just for fun or even when things were tough at home. i’ll never forget the times we planted flowers in your garden or fed the finches. i’ll never forget the way you taught us how to cook and the way you taught us how to bake. i’ll never forget the countless summers spent swimming in your pool or the amount of christmas’ spent at your house. i’ll never forget the way you would do my makeup and the way you told me “always wear at least a little blush and mascara.” i’ll never forget playing mario on the nintendo in the middle bedroom. i’ll never forget how incredible you were at painting. and most importantly i’ll never forget the amount of hours spent playing scrabble. you were such an incredible woman and not only helped to raise an amazing daughter who ended up being my mom, but helped her raise my sisters and i. you were loved by the entire village for your generosity. no one ever had a bad thing to say about you. you truly were a sweetheart and one of the most glamorous women i’ll ever know. i’ll never forget the advice you’ve given me throughout the years. always keep god close to me. always pray. always thank god. always keep good people and family close. always be honest. always be kind to animals and people. always have good manners. always look for the good in people. always be generous and considerate to those i meet. always be with someone who puts me first. always be safe. always be happy. never take shit from anyone (she was italian)
and most importantly, always tell people you love them.
so with that said, i love you nana.
i wish we had more time
- your forever scrabble buddy ❤️ by @_elisewerner
