It’s crazy how you’ll have a plan for yourself, but then God comes and says actually I have something else for you. It may seem inconvenient and unplanned to us, but just know it’s going exactly the way He intended it to.

It started w an invitation into an unfamiliar place, w me trusting God to lead me out of my comfort zone, to using me to utilize the gift he gave me.

To Abba has a special place in my heart and I pray that it reaches who it needs to. That it reminds us that we don’t need to feel the weight of life. Jesus took care of that when he died for our sins.

You don’t have to go through this alone, you were never meant to. You don’t need to have control over everything in order to be successful. Sometimes all you have to do is let go and let God.

First solo trip to Cali 🌴☀️

Ngl at first I was a little nervous going somewhere not knowing anything or anyone BUT I left it to God and when I tell yall this was THE SMOOTHEST trip I’ve ever been on and was blessed to meet some amazing people 🙏🏼

Is this a safe space? lol

Mid-May I was not in the best place mentally and physically. I was smoking and drinking more than I’d like to admit. Almost as if I were trying to fill a hole of emptiness with things that would make me happy temporarily. It wasn’t until I started getting closer to God that changed my life. I remember telling him one day “Please God, let the truth be revealed”. That same week my job at the time let me go, and I had been unemployed for about 2-3 months. Being without a job, especially around this time, is crazy. I was scared, sad, mad, growing impatient, feeling not good enough, but I had an amazing support system that kept my head up. During that time I learned more on how to live a solitary life, patience, budgeting at its finest, getting closer to my parents, my church, and God. Since then I’ve been blessed with a better job, strong connections all around, a better outlook on life, and the most important thing Peace. I’ve learned from here on out, I will ALWAYS protect my peace. 🤍🙏🏼💙 by @_emilyyy_cx

Unfortunately I couldn’t fit this perfect day in one single post, but let me tell you..thank you to every single person that has helped me throughout this journey.

My family and friends definitely made this a VERY extra special/memorable day. I cannot thank y’all enough for being there for me every step of the way. This is just another stepping stone into the next chapter in my life and I’m ready to conquer it!

Also my family was very upset that the announcer didn’t say my full name or recognize me as an honors candidate so they wanted to redo it the right way as you can see in the second video 💀 by @_emilyyy_cx
