BUG BITEby Chloe Xtinadirected + performed by Emma Faginsound designed by David Heisercover art by Anna Louise a radio play about escaping into fantasy, the desire to be consumed, and falling in love with a bug. It’s been such a gift to get to work on this haunting, disturbing, sexy piece of text. Thank you, @chl0extina , for writing something that demanded me to create. The play ate at me (pun fully intended) until I needed to try to bring Lover’s story to life with my own voice. And thank you for being so cool, also. You cool chick. I was weally nervous to reach out to you but I’m so glad I did!!! You inspire me a lot and I’m grateful to know you 🪲💝Thank you, @dr_collie , for your incredible sonic talents. You’ve fleshed out the world of Bug Bite with such care and precision, and helped me create a spine-crawling, hypnotic, sensory experience that simultaneously ushers the story along with clarity. It was a blast to play around with you on this project, and I hope it’s the first of many more Emma/David collabs😎🪰Thank you, @anna.louuise for making the perfect cover art for this play!!!! You’re my muse, my bestie, my Annyas, and I’ve always wanted to do an artistic collab with you. Because you r my favorite artist, obvi. I knew that an Anna piece would be the perfect visual companion for this daydream, and I really appreciate your time in making it. You captured Lover’s scary, pink, sparkly obsession better than I could’ve hoped for. 💌🐞I hope my rendition of this story resonates with you as deeply as it resonated with me after my first read.
