made it official today!!!

i am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity that has been given to me and so blessed with those in my life that have loved on me through such a stressful time! dancing at the collegiate level has always been a dream to me and now that i can make that a reality as an Arkansas Tech Golden Girl, i am so beyond excited for this new chapter. thank you to Bauxite Varsity Dance for giving me strength and guidance over this process. thank you to Coach Ragsdale and Coach Watson for giving me constant reassurance and love, even on the days where that was difficult for me to understand. thank you to all of my family, friends, teachers, and coaches that have supported me indefinitely, so much love for all of you! and of course i want to thank my God because His love has washed me with joy and without him, NONE of this would be possible.

what. a. night.

for the past 15 years of my life, dance has been all i had ever known. it has been my light on my darkest days and a light on my brightest. i have found many friends through dance that i will forever cherish as sisters. dance has given me a way to push myself but also has become my first genuine love. after coming off of last season’s injury that my doctors had told me “i’d never dance the same again,” i knew when i moved to bauxite, i was going to prove them wrong. so to end off my last season as a dancer for highschool, i would like to thank @bauxitevarsitydance for taking me in and loving me like i’ve been here forever and @mrsragsdale_1 for giving me and chance to come back stronger than ever in my sport. i have dreaded this post since august but as i write this, one thing is constant: God’s plan for me. i may not know where this next season of life is taking me, but i do know that the author is writing it piece by piece and that’s all i could ask for🩷
