I’ve spent the last month listening to SO many podcasts about women in business, money, brands, founders etc etc and the biggest thing I’ve taken from it is how warped our idea of “success” can be.

I’ve had so many 7-day weeks this year, working on things I genuinely love and am excited to build, but because I’ve been slacking on Instagram, I’ve caught myself feeling like i’ve fell off.

And that’s the crazy thing about social media, we can start measuring our progress by what’s visible online, when so much of the real work isn’t visible at all.

The clients, the long days, the learning, the building, the opportunities, the exhaustion… that’s the stuff that actually counts. The Instagram can come second.

And if you’re building something, don’t let how it looks online become more important than what you’re actually building.

(Unless you’re a business and want your Instagram to look good + actually do something for you… then hi, that’s literally my job xxx)

my hair routine because you’ve been asking… and yes, I’ve put ALL the details below so save this for your next wash day 🎀

I try to do this routine every 4 days and these are the products I keep coming back to for healthy, soft, glossy hair:

♡ 1. Pre-wash oiling @hairsyrup
I start with the Hair Syrup Rapunzel Hair Growth Oil and give my scalp a proper massage. I get through SO many of these. I’ll either leave it on overnight or for at least 30 minutes before washing. The scalp massage is my favourite part — it helps stimulate the scalp and feels amazing too.

♡ 2. Double shampoo @mielleorganics_uk
I use the Mielle shampoo and ALWAYS double cleanse, especially after using hair oil. The first wash removes the main build-up, then the second actually gets your hair feeling properly clean. I also use this as another opportunity for a little scalp massage because why not.

♡ 3. Condition + leave it
Next up is the Mielle conditioner. I really work this through my mid-lengths and ends and leave it for at least 5 minutes. Obviously this is when the shower concert starts. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm or cooler water if you can.

♡ 4. Leave-in
Once my hair is towel dried, I run the Mielle leave-in conditioner through my ends and slowly work upwards. If you have thicker hair, I’d definitely recommend sectioning it so you can distribute the product properly. And it smells DIVINE.

♡ 5. Dry + protect
I always recommend styling your hair rather than leaving it soaking wet for ages, but keep your tools on a lower heat where possible. Heatless curls are also your best friend. And pleaseeee never skip a heat protectant if you’re using hot tools.
little things that make the biggest difference: regular wash days, a good scalp massage, properly cleansing out oils, keeping conditioner mostly on your lengths + ends, and protecting your hair from heat.
these are the products I genuinely reach for again and again, and my hair has never felt better ♡
