Happy A Court of Splintered Harmony Day 😍

So torn whether to finish my current read or put it on hold and dive straight in! Either way I'm SO excited 🤭 by @_enjoybooks

Hello old friends...

It's been a minute since I've been here! Everyone's been ill, we've moved house, we've booked a wedding. 2026 has not been my year and I'm looking forward to seeing the end of it tbh. The whole month of September I barely even touched a book (except to pack them all away to move) and that was the first time in forever I'd gone so long without reading, I felt a little lost.

However! I do finally have a new bookshelf 😍 it's not finished as I still need an extra shelf and then I'll have to do a reshuffle, but just look at some of my pretties finally on display 😍 obsessed.

I'd love to hear about what you've been reading and your latest 5 star reads?

This month so far I've read A Witch's Guide to Magical Inkeeping which I really enjoyed and then Threshing Day which I ADORED!! I need Empyrean book 4 immediately 🙏🏻 by @_enjoybooks

The last 5 books that I...

I saw @sophs_shelves version of this and I loved it so I had to recreate my own! Thank you for the inspo 💜 by @_enjoybooks

Sunrise on the Reaping 🌄
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's been a while! I took probably the longest break I've ever taken from bookstagram but I needed it. I haven't been reading as much lately and I have so much personal stuff going on that I'm struggling with. But I thought I'd just put no pressure on posting and do it when I feel like it!

Sunrise on the Reaping has been one of my favourite books this year. I was skeptical as I didn't enjoy The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes as much as I thought I would but this one blew it out of the water!!

I love Haymitch's character so going back to read his story was so interesting and it wasn't at all how I expected it to be. It kept me hooked all the way through and it was such a brilliant emotional rollercoaster. Reading about the other characters we know from the main Hunger Games books and finding out a bit about their backstory (e.g Effie, Plutarch & Beetee) was really interesting too.

The twists were really great and some of them I never expected or I thought of them but was still hoping they wouldn't be true and was shook!

Such a great book, and I'm so glad I got my hands on this absolutely beautiful special edition. This is definitely one of the prettiest books I own 😍

Are you a Hunger Games fan? Have you read this one? by @_enjoybooks

Barry's Bay 👙🌊
5 star series ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I can't believe it's taken me this long to read a Carley Fortune book but I'm so glad I finally picked this series up because wow have I fallen in love with Barry's Bay.

The setting is perfection and the growing friendships are beautiful. I adored Sam and Percy in Every Summer After and I adored Charlie and Alice in One Golden Summer.

But I also loved the contrast between the younger characters and seeing them all grown up and how everything changed for each of them and just how they always make their way back to Barry's Bay 🥹.

Their character arcs are so good but i think my favourite of all of them is Charlie's 🫶🏻.

I haven't started watching Every Year After yet but I can't wait to see how this series comes to life on screen. If you've started it please let me know what you think! by @_enjoybooks

May Wrap-Up 🌻

A little bit late with this one as I've been trying to spend less time on social media lately so bookstagram has taken a bit of a backseat..

However, that means that May turned out to be my best reading month yet in terms of how many books I got through. 7 physical books and 2 audiobooks finished and I don't think I can pick one favourite!

So, my joint favourite goes to Every Summer After & The Impossible Fortune!

Love and Other Words ~ 3☆
No One Saw a Thing ~ 3☆
Daisy Darker ~ 3☆
Alchemised 🎧~ 3☆
Shield of Sparrows🎧~ 3☆
The Violin Maker's Secret ~ 4☆
Dungeon Crawler Carl ~ 4☆
The Impossible Fortune ~ 5☆
Every Summer After ~ 4☆
(pictured wrong book!)

What was your favourite read in May? 📚 by @_enjoybooks

Last, Now, Next 📚

I also just finished Shield of Sparrows dramatised audiobook and before those last two books I finished Every Summer After, which is why I'm thinking One Golden Summer will be up next!

But currently I'm back at home in Coopers Chase with my favourite murder club and loving it 🫶🏻

Atmosphere 👩🏻‍🚀🚀
5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘰𝘧. 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘥, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺."

Wow. What. A. Book.

I was hooked from the very first chapter!

After reading (and adoring!!) Project Hail Mary and discovering I could love a story that involved people going into space, I definitely got more excited and ready to enter the wonders that is Atmosphere.

It is such a beautiful emotional rollercoaster. I adored the main characters and their journeys not only to becoming the first female astronauts but also of self discovery, friendships and relationships. I absolutely adored the relationship between Joan and her niece Frances. And Joan and Vanessa have my whole heart truly.

"𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒃𝒚𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒖𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒓𝒍 𝑭𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒂𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈."

There are some really important topics winding through this story and as always Taylor Jenkins Reid has written it so beautifully and so full of heart. The emotions are so raw and real between family, friends and lovers. Everything from joy and love to grief and heartbreak is portrayed perfectly.

I was on the edge of my seat, my heart was in my throat and tears were in my eyes as I got closer the end. Truly breathtaking, inspiring and heart breaking all at the same time! 10/10 no notes.

If you haven't read this one yet, what are you waiting for!! Please, take this as your sign to bump it to the top of your tbr immediately. by @_enjoybooks

⚔️ Fantasy Friday Flatlay ⚔️

I've been quite enjoying a few fantasies recently and have soooo many more on my tbr!

I've just finished Alchemised as well as the first book in Dungeon Crawler Carl so I'm thinking of reading 1 or 2 romances and then I might finally pick up Sunrise on The Reaping as my next fantasy pick 🤭

My first ever ✨shelfie Sunday✨

This is my only bookshelf and it is no way near big enough or aesthetically pleasing!
I have books overflowing on the shelves as well as everywhere around my house! BUT I still love them, and can't wait for the day I finally get to upgrade and have all my special editions on show as well 🥰

Here's to sharing our shelves even when they're messy and overflowing 🫶🏻 by @_enjoybooks
