CALL AND WAIL

The Erinyes, known as the Furies in Roman mythology, are ancient Greek chthonic goddesses of vengeance and retribution. Born from the blood of Uranus, they specifically punish murderers (especially familial), oath-breakers, and those who commit impiety. They are defined by their relentless pursuit of sinners.

A sister to Aphrodite, the dark side to her existence.

BIRTH OF VENUS

“And from the sea foam, she emerged as a fully formed higher being, where she was welcomed as the goddess of love, beauty and fertility”

My motive for this piece was to encapsulate the way in which i have viewed woman since a very young age; As something ethereal, something graceful, something powerful.

A massive thank you to my beautiful dancers who were incredibly supportive and enthusiastic towards the creative process, I cannot thank you enough for your tenacity.

Most importantly I’d like to give thanks to @clanielfx , for making this all such a seamless and incredibly enjoyable process. I couldn’t have asked for a better creative to collaborate with. Another thank you to @klarissagunawan for assisting me in directing this film.

I hope you all enjoy 🧜🏼‍♀️🫧
