I’m just finding out about funeral potatos and felt inclined to look up other delicacies from Utah.

Fry sauce: (my favorite) made from the base of mayonnaise, ketchup, often mixed with seasonings like paprika, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Ideal for onion rings, French fries, and spread for burgers (hell yeah) shout out to Hires Big H in Salt Lake City for showing me something so integral to my childhood

Funeral potatoes: creamy, cheesy hash brown casserole, named for being popular at post-funeral gatherings especially in the Latter-day Saint community. The dish consists of shredded or diced potatoes, sour cream, cream of chicken soup, topped with a layer of buttered corn flakes or crushed potato chips and baked til bubbly and golden.
I think everyone should have this at their funeral.

Frog eye salad: a sweet creamy pasta salad commonly served as a dessert or side dish often along side funeral potatoes, at potlucks, Easter, family gatherings.
Its ingredients are; acini di pepe pasta, pineapple juice, canned pineapple, mandarin oranges, eggs, sugar, whipped topping (cool whip, marshmallows) it requires at least 8 hours of refrigeration before serving. It’s frequently confused with Watergate salad.

Thought this was cool, lmk if yall want another state and it’s authentic food of origin descriptions by @_eternalcheeseburger_
