hang around! 💌 When I was a little girl, I already knew I wanted my own business.
I wanted to make something beautiful and sell it.
So when I grew up, I tried everything — T-shirts, pet portraits, wall art… until I found flowers.
And I loved it.
I thought, this is it. I finally found the thing I wanted to do.
I was living the dream I'd had since I was little.
But somewhere along the way, I became so focused on making my business work that I forgot to actually live.
Work became my whole life.
I stopped playing. I stopped making time for friends. I became so serious about my career that I didn't recognise myself anymore.
And then I started asking myself:
What if building a successful career isn't enough for me?
Because I also have another dream.
I want to be able to help my parents, just like they've spent their whole lives helping me and my siblings.
So now I'm trying to figure out something I don't have the answer to yet:
How do I build a career that gives me enough money to help my family, while still giving me enough freedom to actually enjoy my life?
I'm still working with flowers. I'm still figuring out how to make it financially sustainable. I'm learning, experimenting, trying things, failing, and starting again.
And at the same time, I'm learning how to play again — salsa dancing, trying things I've always been curious about, spending time with people I love, and making space for a life outside of work.
I'm documenting all of it here.

5 years ago, i had a feeling i wanted to give flowers a try.

instead of going to TAFE, i learnt the basics by working in 2 flower shops: flower names, where to buy flowers, how to prep them, how to make a spiral bouquet.

a year in, i realised their style was pretty traditional, and i wanted to try something more modern. So i quit, opened my own online flower studio from a corner of my garage, and started making flowers the way i love.

4 years later, i’m doing this full time, and i’ve had the chance to work with brands like Aje, COS and Swatch.

i definitely underestimated how bloody hard this journey would be 🫠 But i’m sooo grateful, for the opportunity, and for every client who’s trusted me with their flowers along the way 🥹

I’ve always found the process of making an arrangement very therapeutic, from working with flowers themselves, to the sound of the cutting stems, to the satisfaction of seeing the arrangement coming together from the vision i have in mind. I hope you’ll also find the asmr satisfying, and learn a few tips about flower arranging along the way. And so, welcome to my new series - flower therapy!
