POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

a photo of mine has been selected for @openeyegallery’s The People’s Garden / Is This A Garden? exhibition.

beyond honoured and i am hoping to travel to liverpool next week and see it in person before it closes at the end of august. 🙏

the exhibition explores the idea of “gardens” but looks beyond traditional views of them, exploring how they appear in unexpected ways, on the edges of things, and how they shape (or are shaped by) the people and environments around them.

i thought this photo i took in berlin earlier this year captured that idea perfectly. taken in Open Eye Gallery by @_falsehalcyondaze

DEAD CHUFFED ❤️

I’m part of @overthebridge.photo’s incredible photographic exhibition at @fountain_arts.

This was the first time I’ve ever submitted to an open call and it means A LOT to see my little photo here.

To be featured alongside some of my fave local artists genuinely blows my mind. And for it to be in my home county of Lincolnshire feels almost serendipitous.

The theme is summer holidays and here are some words I wrote to go with it:

“The theme of summer holidays immediately conjured up memories of rainy days on the East Coast - Skegness, Cleethorpes, Chapel St Leonards - or Chappelle Saint Leonardos, as my Grandad used to call it.

As a kid, being handed fistfuls of 2ps and ushered into the arcades felt like the first taste of independence.

Even today, the smell of copper and competing whirrs and beeps of the machines bring a huge sense of excitement and nostalgia.

Since moving over the bridge to Yorkshire, the seaside is still very much a place of joy. While I don’t get many chances to visit my beloved Lincolnshire beaches, I am always drawn back to the comfort of the coastline.

For New Year 2026, I visited Scarborough solo - a chance to slow down, spend some time alone and reflect on a challenging year. As I passed the arcade with my camera and heard the familiar crash of coins, I knew I needed to capture the buzz.“ taken in fountain arts by @_falsehalcyondaze
