Full moon chopper party! I took one photo all weekend at 1am on Friday night in Kennedy Meadows, CA that ended up being one of the best parties I’ve been to since I started riding. The best location, the best people and the best time hands down. So good to see so many rad people I haven’t seen in awhile. As always thanks to the @deathtrapsmc for having me and throwing such a great party. I hope it’s the first of many to come. taken in Kennedy Meadows, California by @_filthy74

Lost a legend today. Mark wasn’t just one of my best friends, he was my sponsor in the club, my “club dad” as we say. He was as outlaw as they come. He took no shit from anyone, gave zero fucks about what people thought and lived a life on his terms. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone that needed it. He got me through some rough times over the years and I wouldn’t be here without his wisdom, guidance, love and understanding. The way he told a story and the way he lived his life that created those stories always had us laughing. Miss you already pops. by @_filthy74

💔💔This one’s going to sting for awhile…

The best times I’ve have in my life were sitting next to this guy. Whether it was on a motorcycle, in a hot rod or sharing a meal or a cold one. It was impossible to not have a good time when he was there. The amount of knowledge I learned from him about all the things life throws at you. Such an example and inspiration of what to be. Miss you already pal….. love ya K.C. @kckawano by @_filthy74

1200 miles to Goonie land and back with all the fellas. Blue skies and highs in 60s. Not sure why I came home. The only regret I have is that I didn’t build this bike a long time ago.

This bike originally started out as a running 1988 Softail that originally belonged to my good friend Lance Hitt aka Big Lance and known to some as Tarzan. RIP. A bigger than life character whose presence was even bigger. He was a motorcycle nut like the rest of us and built countless bikes including some of the coolest choppers around, long before I was even old enough to drive. He passed away 6 years ago and I purchased it from his ol’ lady a few months after. Soon after that I started tearing it down to chop the frame which was stretched 6” up and hardtailed by @dickarm who did an amazing job with the fab and welding. From there I used a sportster tank shell and fabbed the tunnel, filler neck and tabs. I made the fender brace out of stainless, along with the handlebars and wheel spacers. I fabbed the handmade foot controls/mounts out of 5/8” round stainless that @john_kunk hooked me up with. Matt over at @wreckedmetals was generous enough to let me use his tools to knock out the seat pan then to Sean for the seat cover. The exhaust started life as a shovelhead 2into1 that was designed by @dirtybiker for @paughcoparts that Josh went out of his way to hook me up with, and then I chopped up to fit an evo which is an 80” with some goodies on the inside and out, including a @jbrosg oil filter adapter that mounts directly to the oil pump. A genius idea from an old Brother Speed MC member years ago. @shakysullivan did his thing when it came to the paint and bodywork. I wanted it to look like the inside of a gemstone of some sort as a little nod to my father who was a total nerd when it came to rocks. We played around with paint and gold leaf until we figured it out. Then Marcus did his thing again and did an amazing job on the polish. The coolest thing about building these things is all the talented, generous people that become part of the process and I’m forever grateful for all of them. You know who you are!

This was about the 5th try on making my stainless mid-controls from scratch. Such a learning curve on so many levels. Super pumped on how they turned out. Also thanks to @black_dogsmithworks for the save on the sweet tig welds too! by @_filthy74

I’ve been hiding out in the shop a lot lately. When I get motivated on a bike project I get pretty obsessed until it’s done. This one has been kicking my ass but it’s also been a ton of fun. I took a pair of Biltwell risers I had laying around and machined the base of them down to match the threaded insert at the bottom of the risers that I made. Sean from @wreckedmetals traded me some welds for some pinstripes and then I smoothed them out to make it all pretty. Also made some z-bars to go with ‘em. by @_filthy74
