They don’t eat!
You see a 60+ cobia cruising the buoy, your heart skips a beat, and then... lock jaw 🫠

First Cobia ever and he goes and lands a 50-inch unit?! 🤯 Talk about setting the bar high! Started the weekend down at Oregon Inlet with the wife looking some Cobia but decided to switch gears on Sunday and make the move up to the Bay for that gorgeous weather. My buddy Dakotah tagged along and within minutes we hooked up and the first VA Cobia of the season hit the deck. The fish are moving and the countdown to June 15th is on! #OBXfishing #VirginiaFishing #Cobia #OregonInlet #ChesapeakeBay taken in OBX by @_fishin_finatic

Days like this have me reminiscing hard and itching to get back out there chasing giants 🎣💥🌊 Kill fish in the boat by 10 AM, and lost count of how many more we had boat side. I am BEYOND ready to start chasing bluefin again! 🐟⚡#tuna #bluefintuna #outerbanks #fishofinstagram #explorepage✨ @magictail_outfitters by @_fishin_finatic

Another cobia season in the books. Ended it on a high note—had 3 hooked up at once! First full season with the tower on the Tiara didn’t disappoint 🎣🛥️💥

Great weekend in the OBX 🎣 Spanish, albies, and a bonus mahi on spoons, plus some surf action casting metal—the bite was on! Even got to do some flounder fishing with Alexis on the last day.

Counting down the days until the bluefin show up! ⏳🐟

Nothin’ like late-season cobia in the bay 🎣 Saw plenty of pairs, pods, and singles, and pulled a couple out of a 6-pack. Lex was the trip MVP—netted both fish at once AND landed a 47” and 49” of her own! 💪 #cobia #girlswhofish #fishing #explorepage #inshorefishing @invincible_jigs @invincible_jigs @silkoceanpeline @insta360 taken in Chesapeake Bay by @_fishin_finatic

Recap of the “Big man’s Cobia Bonanza” 2026 🎣 Running from a mini hurricane, playing chicken with a cargo ship, and having a staring contest with the water until our eyeballs felt like they were going to fall out…. …but a 53”, 35.98 lb cobia (and the bag 💰) made every second worth it. Huge thanks to the “Cant Sea Me” crew for putting in work, I wouldn’t want to question my life choices with anyone else 🤙😂 #sightfishing #tournament #cobia #saltwaterfishing #storms @chasinwakecharters @tattoostevebdd @teeejjj98 @max.ellis96 @bigmans_cobia_bonanza @fish_shimano_north_america @bajiosunglasses @grundens taken in Ocean View, Virginia by @_fishin_finatic
