An expensive hole in the ground since May. Crack running right across the bottom.

She put it on FixIt and had three pool guys bid on it by lunch. Costs nothing to post.

"Does the whole floor come out?" No. One seam let go. Cut it, pack it, bond it.

Then he widens the crack on purpose - because you can't bond a hairline. It has to have something to grab.

Swimming the next day. One crack, one guy, same week.

Ninety-four degrees inside. Unit running all morning, blowing warm.

He put it on FixIt at nine and had three bids before ten. Costs nothing to ask.

Everyone's first guess is the compressor - the expensive one. It wasn't. Blown capacitor and a condenser coil that hadn't breathed in two summers. Both cheap. Twelve dollar part.

Forty minutes later it was cold.

We interrupt your feed for this.

You know the routine. Something breaks, you call five contractors, two answer, one shows up, and the quote makes your eyes water. You have no idea if it is a fair price because you only ever got the one.

FixIt flips it. You post the job once - for free - and verified local pros bid on it. Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofing, remodels. You see their ratings, their reviews and their actual prices side by side, and then you pick. Nobody gets assigned to you.

Message them, book them and track the job, all in one place.

Download FixIt and fix everything. Link in bio.
