This month makes 6 months since I’ve officially been licensed. The journey broke me emotionally, physically and financially. but it is still the best thing I have ever done.

I had to LIVE on this scripture “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

I failed multiple test, I failed my exit exam first attempt , redid a semester, failed my NCLEX on the first time. I cried I begged , I prayed and I pleaded and God made the way. Grateful doesn’t even sum up what I am feeling

No book can teach you how to cry with a patient. No class can teach you how to tell their family that their loved has passed, No professor can teach to find dignity in caring for someone in their most vulnerable moments. A nurse is more than the pills and the charting: A nurse is being able to love, in the weakest of moments. Being a nurse is a calling from God & I’m Grateful He has called me.

Any student nurses or aspiring nurses please keep going. You can do it 💜💜
