Happy 3 year wedding Anniversary, my love. ❤️
Marriage has taught me a lot about love, patience, sacrifice, forgiveness, and what it truly means to choose someone…not just on the easy days, but through every season life brings.
There’s no doubt, no hesitation, and no second thought when I say there’s nobody else in this world I’d rather do life with but you.
The day I first laid eyes on you, something in me already knew I was going to marry you. But the day I bent my knee was the day I knew there was no looking back. I wasn’t just asking you to be my wife…I was accepting everything that came with forever. The good days, the hard days, the laughter, the tears, the victories, the lessons, the ups, the downs, and every chapter we hadn’t even written yet.
Because a successful marriage isn’t about finding someone you’ll never struggle with… it’s about finding someone worth struggling through anything with. And for me, that person will always be you.
So just like I meant it then, I mean it even more today:

My Sills ALL STAR debut!!! In 8U softball, chaos is part of the game…especially on the bases. Every throw gets tested. Every hesitation gets challenged. While pitching and catching get most of the spotlight, first base is the position that quietly finishes the job. It turns throws into outs, settles the chaos, and keeps the defense one step ahead. She made the routine look easy, was always thinking one play ahead, and never let the game speed her up. Her competitiveness is unmatched, but what really stands out is her softball IQ…it’s on another level.
Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. This is just the beginning. 💪🥎🔥 by @_gabe_real_09

Wow my Sills is 9 !!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SILLY BUTTS !!!

Being my first daughter, you changed my whole perspective on life. Through you, I learned how deep love can go and how gentle strength truly looks.

I remember I used to hold you in the palm of my hand. Then you got a bit older, and you would run up just to hold my hand. It’s the best feeling when you want protection and reach for my hand. With no hesitation, I’ll always have your back. And yeah… someone could catch the back of my hand—but for real, you make me so happy. I stand proud and give you a hand 👏🏼.
As long as I’m here, you will forever have a helping hand. And maaaan, I’d be lying if I didn’t say I dread the day someone asks for your hand 🥲. But always remember—you’ll forever be my right hand!!!

What’s up, Gup. It been a while huh. It feels weird writing to the sky, but I don’t know where else to send this. Tell me…is it peaceful up there? Are the streets really gold, or is that just something we say to make it hurt less? Do the gates really shine like pearls? Or do they just feel like home? Have you seen Johnny yet? I already know you’re with Grandmoms. God whispered that to me one night when I couldn’t sleep.I bet you’re still trying to work out up there, chasing strength, chasing sweat, acting like eternity doesn’t mean rest. Down here, time didn’t stop.It just left you behind. Erica and I are going on three years of marriage.Still standing.Still choosing each other.Eli’s grown, bro. Too grown.A junior in high school, destroying baseballs like they owe him money.He’s so tall it almost pisses me off.You’d want to wrestle him or put him in the arm bar the second you see him. Alijah’s about to graduate.College next. He got his license runs all over. Erica keeps him busy…errands, favors, responsibilities.Life lessons in disguise. Aaliyah…man, she’s special, smart, kind, helpful in ways kids don’t usually understand.She picked up a softball and never let it go.She’s becoming dangerous out there.You’d be smiling so hard, and be so proud. And Joshie, your namesake, your fire, your blood showing up loud. I swear you met her before we did. She eats like you.Gets mad like you.Competes like she’s fighting for her life.She is you.You never left completely. The girls—Monique, Ashley, Sabrina…they love you endlessly. They keep your resting place clean, creative, alive.It’s their way of touching you without breaking apart.
