Nick Lalota is a career politician hoping voters won’t kick the tires on his lies. Let’s set the table straight on SALT.

The first $10,000 SALT deduction cap was created by Republicans in Congress in 2017, and Long Island felt the squeeze.

That cap was set to completely expire at the end of 2025, but Nick Lalota voted to bring it back at $40,000. If that wasn’t enough, here’s the real catch: the cap collapses back to $10,000 in 2030.

Let’s be clear: the $40,000 cap is a temporary fix with an expiration date.

I’m Chris Gallant. In Congress, I’ll fight for permanent SALT relief, not a countdown clock to hold over voters’ heads.

You know what’s sexy? A plan that actually delivers for Long Island.

My 6-point Mission Plan is focused on the issues that affect our lives every day: lowering costs, strengthening our infrastructure, protecting our clean water and coastline, supporting veterans and working families, helping small businesses thrive, and restoring trust in government.

Politics should be about solutions and results.

It’s time to bring real results to Long Island. Visit the link in our bio to support, donate, and join our people-powered campaign.

Hi everyone. My name is Chris Gallant, and I’m running for Congress to represent New York’s first congressional district.

I’m a veteran, an air traffic controller, a union representative, and a volunteer firefighter who’s ready to make a real difference for Long Island. I’m stepping up because Long Islanders deserve a leader who’ll put their needs ahead of political agendas. From lowering the cost of living to making sure everyone has access to quality health care, our needs are more important than scoring points with career politicians.

I’m ready to get to work for Long Island. Click the link in my bio to learn more about my campaign. taken in Long Island, NY by @_gallantny

I visited Mattituck Inlet to hear directly from experts about the erosion threatening the North Fork and what we can do to protect our coastline.

Long Island needs long-term solutions, not temporary fixes. Through my six-point Mission Plan, I’ll fight for the federal funding needed to restore our beaches, strengthen our shorelines, and protect our communities for generations to come.

Celebrating the 35th Annual St. James Day, in a community with a history that goes back generations.

St. James has that special Long Island charm where history and community still feel connected.

It was a beautiful day to celebrate while connecting with people throughout the community, catching up with familiar faces, and meeting some new ones along the way.

I am out in the community every day connecting with our neighbors. Let’s keep the momentum going into November ☀️

Flight Night w Chris Gallant! 🪁

@seiu_org members from @32bjseiu & 1199 spent Friday night flying kites at Sunken Meadow State Park. We decorated the kites with our hopes for the future and were joined by our endorsed candidate, @_gallantny, who's running for Congress in NY-01! 🗳️

He shared with us his vision for the future of New York's 1st congressional district. And our union members who live and work in NY-01 got an opportunity to share candidly about the issues most important to them.

Our Weekend Warriors have been door knocking and making phone calls for Chris Gallant. Join the effort by visiting www.1199votes.org to volunteer with us! It's in *our* hands to protect our democracy. #OurVoteOurPower ✊ taken in Pavilion at Sunken Meadow by @_gallantny

Celebrating our history with the Big Duck’s 95th birthday in Flanders. 🪿

You’ve probably seen it driving by on the way to the Hamptons, but did you know this duck actually represents a rich part of Long Island’s history. This 20ft duck was built in 1931 by Martin Maurer to represent the strong duck industry in Long Island.

I am proud to commit to keeping Long Island’s history alive. taken in Suffolk County, New York by @_gallantny

Today, I had the opportunity to connect with voters, community members, local leaders, organizations, and first responders at Southampton Fest alongside @jimmymackfortrustee @jimmymack92

It was amazing to see so many people out enjoying such a beautiful fall day and celebrating everything that makes our community special.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello!
