Wow. I can’t believe it’s over.

Words can’t describe how much @clubbaseballatiu means to me, how much it impacted my life, and how grateful I am for every person who was a part of it. I never thought I was going to be able to play baseball again, so this chance to do so was amazing. But that’s not really what club baseball was. It was the people, the friends I made, the long drives, the tailgates, the late nights, the beach days in PCB, the hours-long phone calls before games, it was everything. It was a community, while only aligned by a sport, became so much more. I met lifelong friends who I’ll cherish forever, guys who I never would have met without club baseball.

I poured my heart and soul into this club, and it means the world to see it grow so much in just a couple years. Thank you to the teammates, friends, parents, etc for making this experience possible.

For the last time, 34 out. ❤️ by @_garrettlarson_

To wrap up our Senior Week Graduation Countdown, we have the man who most would consider the backbone of this program, the man who changed the culture and attitude for what it meant to play club baseball here at IU, Garrett Larson. Garrett has been a member of our club since his freshman year. He ran for president his sophomore year with a vision to make change. He did. Between his sophomore and junior year as president Garrett worked daily to grow our club to new heights, sacrificing his own time, energy, and commitment. We could go on about how much he has done and how much he has cared but only the people around him can truly attest to his work. He put the club first.

We asked Garrett what Club Baseball meant to him; “Club Baseball is everything to me. This club has changed my life, brought me lifelong friends, and re-ignited my love for a game I never thought I’d play again four years ago. I wanted nothing more than to help this team reach the regional tournament, and I’m so proud of everyone who made it happen. Thank you all.”

We also asked him what his favorite memory was; “So many great memories with this team. On the field, it was clinching the Great Lakes South in Cincinnati, seeing all the emotional seniors get something we fought so hard for was amazing. The best off field experience was the break room in PCB. IYKYK.”

Garrett, your passion and commitment to the club has not gone unnoticed. You worked so hard to make our club what it is today and we cannot thank you enough. Without you, so much would not have been possible. Just like what you did with our club, we know you’ll take that same enthusiasm with you to whatever you do in the future. Congratulations Garrett‼️❤️🎓 taken in Indiana University by @_garrettlarson_

As we wrap up our final two executive board members, we would like to introduce a returning executive board member, now vice president, Garrett Larson!
Garrett is from Dallas Texas and is going into his fourth/ senior season with IU Club Baseball. He spent the last two years as president of the club and will continue his leadership as VP. Garrett is a pitcher (but can dabble at shortstop in Florida).

“This is my 4th year being a part of club baseball, and it has been amazing since the beginning. After 2 years as President, I am now excited to mentor the newer executive board members as Vice President and enjoy my last year at IU”

We thank Garrett for the way he transformed our club into something amazing, and look forward to him growing the club even more in his final season. Thank you Garrett!!⚾️ by @_garrettlarson_
