in august ‘24 i had the absolute honor of dancing with @berkshirepulse at @chesterwood_studio, and a few months later I got these lovely pictures that i never posted. but it finally feels like springtime in new york, and when the sun turns like this all i can think about is dancing barefoot in lush grass with people i love. today i was plotting out my summer— in july i’ll be back at @chesterwood_studio with @bethesun and @stilllifetableaux, as i have been every summer since i was 16… how glorious it is to make art in beautiful places. how lucky am i! and how beautiful these pictures are. pix creds: Avida Love Photographyfeaturing choreo by Veronica Bone, Gillian Ebersole and Shannon Nulf by @_gingerkat_

oh, i’m gonna write about you here’s a little taste of my new one woman show Man Cave, which premiered last Friday. my body is still recovering from what was essentially an emotional and physical marathon in full male drag but i couldn’t be more grateful— to all the folks who worked on this with me, especially my phenomenal director and fairy godsister Lizzie, and to the wonderful worlds of drag and clowning and stand up and burlesque and cabaret that this weird little show inhabits. if you missed your chance to see it this time… i wouldn’t worry too much. i still have a lot more to say about menxoxo katMan Cavewritten & performed by medirected & styled by @imlizzieleach stage managed by @gab.cain sound design by Emma McAninchlighting design by @micahmds w/ @karlijohnn projection design by @imlizzieleach marketing, media & graphics by @aspen.narain produced by @colettempitts and @thewitfactor by @_gingerkat_

fainting couch: a one woman show… (with a butler) opens in a couple hours. i have some intelligent thoughts about it, but first, all i can say is thank you, thank you, thank you to the people who have inhabited the world of this play with me for the past few months. each and every one of them as brilliant and sensitive and sensational as the next… this piece has never felt more collaborative then it does now. and my god, it is so much stronger for it. I wrote this play in order to gain agency over the ways in which the story of my body had been told. For as long as I can remember, my physical fragility had been defined by the perspectives and prejudices of others. However specific my personal experience may be, I think that theme— of having control over the narrative of your physical reality ripped from you— is pertinent to the lives and fears of so many. I don’t pretend that this play has the answers, but I do believe that we are asking the right questions, and it would mean the world to me if you would engage in that conversation with us.fainting couch is a play created by disabled artists.
