427 shows, 40 cities, and 54 unforgettable weeks later, this beautiful journey has come to an end. Last night, I closed my first national tour—a dream I never imagined would become my reality.

The past year and a half has been nothing short of transformative. I feel so grateful to have had the privilege of sharing this story with audiences across the country. It’s surreal to think back to the day I randomly decided to submit to an open call, not knowing it would lead to a journey that has forever changed my life.

Playing Lydia will always hold a special place in my heart. This role taught me that musical theatre could be more than just a passion—it could be my career. Stepping into her shoes these past 15 months has been an honor, not just because of what the role represents, but because of what it means to others.

Representation matters. If even one little Hispanic girl saw this show and realized that she, too, could take up space, tell her story, and shine on a stage like this, then I’ve done something I can be proud of.

This story is powerful, and this show is a gift. I will carry its lessons and memories with me always, and I am endlessly thankful to have been part of something so meaningful. So long poppets! It’s been an amazing ride 👵🏻💙 by @_gisellegutierrez_
