It’s so easy to look at someone else’s life through a screen and feel like you’re falling behind.
Their holidays. Their weddings. Their new homes, new jobs, new adventures. Their seemingly endless reasons to celebrate. We see the photographs, the milestones, the beautifully framed moments—and somewhere along the way, we start measuring our ordinary days against someone else’s highlight reel.

But social media rarely shows the whole story.

We don’t see the arguments behind the smiling photograph. The loneliness in the hotel room. The uncertainty about the future. The days spent doing absolutely nothing. The plans that fell through, the dreams that didn’t work out, the tears that never made it onto the grid.

We see the life they chose to share, not the life they actually live in its entirety. by @_gracer_writes
