Wearing the bodice/jacket, skirt, petticoat and stays I made🖤 I am overall very happy with this look, I feel so fancy!
But there are a few fit issues with he bodice that I still have to work on. It likes to ride up in the back and it’s a little loose in the lower back. But I am still learning sewing after all and I am apparently adverse to using patterns, haha. But even using patterns will in no way ensure a perfect fit, that takes learning and experience of course. Maybe I just need to be less of a perfectionist actually and be proud of what I am able to create😂

An outfit I wore to have coffee with a friend the other day, it felt good to get dressed up again🤍🖤 I am so excited with how long my hair is getting. I am less excited by how much of a pain it is to dye such long hair😭😂

This was my Birthday outfit from today, I feel like a 17th C vampire🧛🏻‍♀️
The stays, bodice and skirt is made by me🖤 I am quite proud of how well the bodice fits since I have never made anything like it before and I drafted my own pattern. I would change a few things like widening and lowering the neckline slightly and making it a few centimeters longer in the back. I will make those changes when I make another one!

My outfit and some clips from when I visited Medicinsk Museion this past weekend when I was in Copenhagen. Medical history has been one of my main hyperfixations for years so I was happy to finally be able to visit this museum. It was fascinating but also upsetting to see such visceral evidence of suffering and death. Modern medicine is far from perfect and there is still a long way to go, but I am still grateful to live in this day and age where modern medicine has come as far as it has. But it is also important to remember that countless people suffered for us to be where we are today.
