I have four areas I want to upgrade on the EK9 over winter. I’ve got ahead of time and carried out one and a half of them already. Cooling package upgrade and fitting splitter mount brackets. The half rad I have been running didn’t do a bad job but on track in the summer doing 3 hard attack laps would see coolant temps getting to the upper limits and continue to climb. I brought Chris old S2000 KOYORAD. Which is actually slightly bigger than a DC2 full length radiator! I wanted to shorted the current traction bar to allow to addition of splitter mounts so added radiator mounting tabs at the same time. Also converted the radiator, water outlet and thermostat housing to AN16. Fabricated a new mounting bracket for the oil cooler. Relocated the PAS cooler and fitted a new @t7designltd sandwich plate so I could run AN10 lines rather than the old 1/2BSP fittings. All fittings and lines were of course from @t7designltd Not only will this improve temperature control it also looks far better. Which is obviously as important. #honda #typer #ek9 by @_griplab

@dc5_nat purchased a new car recently. Fresh in from Japan. A Subaru BRZ ex demo car from Drivers Cafe Forest. It’s extensively modified too! Turbo charged, Endless brakes all round, Cusco suspension and cage just to name the highlights. And being fresh from Japan the underside is its amazing rust free condition. In the Lab for a FULL service and post purchase check over. Replacement front bottom ball joints and a chassis setup. #griplab #subaru #brz by @_griplab

Did a couple of laps in @christopher.daniels.562 G87 M2. God these cars are good. Very basic car too performance wise it’s all stock bar the chassis upgrades we did. Ohlins DFV’s, Millway front top mounts and Hardrace rear toe arms. And of course a Grip Lab setup. I’m a little annoyed how fast I caught Chris up in my car. They are a little closer performance wise when I drive the EK9 but the pace this has down the straights is wild! The M2 is 25mph faster down the back straight before the chicane!!! And for once it’s a BMW with good brakes. Although we will upgrade these for next year. All round cheat code car. And I hate to say that 😂 #griplab #bmw #m2 by @_griplab

Monday way mega. Another great day at @bedfordautodrome for an @msvtrackdays @maattlock & @christopher.daniels.562 both had a drive in the EK9 and a did a couple of sessions in Chris’s M2. Cool story. This S2000 was owned by a customer of mine. He decided to sell it on and it then found its way onto @dream.car.giveaways @waffle1446 purchased £20’s worth of tickets. And one of them was the winner! So he now owns this very tidy, 12k mile, new formula red S2000! Not only that but he was looking to purchase one at the time too. It had Eibach springs and spacers fitted but hadn’t been aligned. Matthew found some GripLab invoices so contacted me to put the car back to stock chassis wise. He wanted to drive it as Honda intended. With a GripLab fast road setup obviously. Great to see this car again. Best colour too! #griplab #honda #s2000 by @_griplab

Another S2000 chassis refresh. And a whole load of upgrades for @tr1cky_1 Full strip down of all subframes, arms and brackets etc. powder coated bronze. Full @hardraceuk bush kit and ball joints. @bcracing_uk ER coilovers @spoonsportseu rigid collar kits, front X and tunnel brace. @fdfraceshop front knuckle brace and rear toe arms. New honda adjuster hardware and all decorated bolts for the rest of the chassis. @mugen1973.official MF10 wheels and @yokohamatyres_eu AD09’s Rayland front @apracingltd brake kit and @sakebombgarage rear vented brake kit. Plus many other little parts and jobs along the way. Plus of course a full proper chassis setup. Now that’s a transformation! #griplab #honda #s2000 by @_griplab

Sometimes is good to remove rusty, bad coilovers and return back to a spring and damper. IMO a stock damper and a Spoon Sports spring is the perfect combo for a fast road car. This is exactly what we did on @teakay950 ‘s DC5. Plus adding front camber bolts and rear arms means the chassis can be set up correctly. #griplab #honda #dc5 by @_griplab

A new car joins the Grip Lab stable. @christopher.daniels.562 purchased a new G87 M2 so we set about adding some upgrades. Chassis and visually. Much improved. - @ohlinsautomotive DFV suspension - @millwaymotorsport top mounts - @hardraceuk spherical rear toe arms - CS front lip - boot spoiler paint matched - yellow DRL’s.
