POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

64 years of freedom, resilience, and unstoppable spirit.

On April 27, 1961, our ancestors’ dreams took flight, and the Lion Mountains roared with pride. From the struggles of colonialism to the beauty of self-determination, Salone has carried the weight of history with strength, grace, and hope.

Today, we celebrate more than just independence we celebrate our identity, our culture, and our future. This year, we link with powerful African clothing brands to show the world what it means when streetwear meets heritage a blend of tradition, innovation, and pride stitched into every piece.

From the vibrant streets of Freetown to the diaspora worldwide, we honor the journey of our people. The storytellers, the dreamers, the builders, the believers.
Salone to the world.

Happy 64th Independence Day!

On May 21st, I graduated from Towson University. After 4 years of hard work, perseverance, and self-discovery, I finally achieved the dream.

I first want to thank my family, and specifically my parents, whose hard work, guidance, and dedication was the reason I was even set up to attend Towson in the first place. Early mornings, long nights to provide a wonderful childhood for my brothers and I, and to be able to support me with wisdom and guidance throughout my time at Towson as well. I wouldn’t be standing where I am without my rocks. “College Fever + The Debt Free College Degree” was a vision my father had many years ago and even though I was just a kid then, it all makes sense now why I was sat at that table.

To Towson University, thank you for providing a space for me to grow as an individual, leader, student, and professional. Entering college after 18 years living at home, Towson instantly felt like home once I stepped on campus. Thank you to the leaders and professors at Towson who helped guide and mentor me through all the different challenges and tasks that I had. Thankful to be able to give back to the Towson community over the last 3 years and in the years to come.

It was always blue.

To my Five Pearls,
Thank you for paving the way for generations of women to follow your eloquent footsteps. Your vision and perseverance established a legacy that allows me to call myself a Finer Woman, a title I hold with reverence and pride.

To the Pandamonium,
Thank you for setting the standard and chartering my beloved chapter. Your sacrifice and unwavering commitment developed the foundation that we stand upon. Without you, there would be no us.

To the Unbreakable Upsilon Mu Chapter,
Thank you for recognizing me and allowing me to flourish with your nuturing and support. From the moment I encountered the profound women I would later have the privilege of calling my prophytes, I knew I found my forever home. Thank you for cultivating an environment where young women like myself could feel safe and empowered through the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.

To my Prophytes,
Thank you for embodying a true sisterhood. The guidance, encouragement, and support have carried me through this journey and will extend far beyond my time at Towson. Thank you for exemplifying grace, perseverance, and an everlasting commitment to Finer Womanhood. A SPECial, SPECial thank you to my 8 and 9. Thank you two for choosing me and loving me unconditionally. I love you more than words can ever express. Thank you for your unwavering support.

To my ReZcue FOURmula,
Words cannot express what we endured and what we built from it. Through the long nights we shared, we cried, we argued, we laughed, but most importantly, we came out on top. We came in as four, and came out as four. You all challenged me to become a better version of myself, and for you all, I am eternally grateful. I would not want to be anything but the back of this line.

“It is Hell to be the Tail.”

The Strictest,
True EnFOURcer

Champion yourself. Acknowledge your accomplishments and how far you have come.

On May 22, 2026, I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science and Law and American Civilization with a minor in American Studies. The last four years have been a tumultuous journey, but I leave my institution with no reservations.

Towson shaped me and transformed me into the tenacious young woman I am today. My patience and strength were undoubtedly tested, but my commitment to becoming a better version of myself never faltered. To the freshman who struggled to forge connections, seek involvement, and discover her purpose: this is for you.

Graduating from Towson University is my testimony. To the little girl from Washington, D.C. who aspired to make her family proud: you exceeded their expectations. My undergraduate career has concluded, but this is only the beginning.
