“State their best before the rest!” After months of planning our inaugural summit was a huge success! @bmecommunity brought over 160 foundation leaders and communication strategist together to share replicable Asset-Framing strategies proven to positively change the world around us. The Next Narrative is one that seeks to foster a narrative that emphasizes building equity without stigma and I love that I’m a part of this legacy✨

@dreamconvention is the heart of culture with a film festival, music showcase, sports, anime, gaming, a chance to learn from people, a career fair, etc. - it’s literally something here for everybody! We brought 22,000 (mainly Black) folks to Austin and pumped 12M+ into the local economy. We provided a platform for diverse creators from filmmakers to cosplayers to share their craft and experiences. We curated an atmosphere for every single person to be themselves, find their people, and be inspired to chase their dreams. This is true impact, this is real dreams changing the world 🙌🏾

On a personal note, working for Dream Con has been a goal of mine since @rdcworld1 announced it in 2018 and I’m so proud of myself for continuing to chase that dream!

This year I got to do what I do best:

👩🏾‍💻 Pitching, writing panel questions and blogs, media coordinating, etc.

🏃🏾‍♀️ Running press conferences for Dontai, @kingvader, Writer Boy, Tony Statovici, and Khleo Thomas.

💆🏾‍♀️ Coordinating onsite media interviews.

👩🏾‍🏫 Prepping RDC + talent for closing ceremony. 🥹

Special shout out to my director @trishterrors for putting her trust in me 💕 and to the whole #dreamteam! 🗣️ WE DID THAT AND WE GON DO IT EVEN BIGGER AND BETTER NEXT YEAR 💪🏾 taken in Austin, Texas by @_heyimkae

In January, I started a new job after abruptly leaving a toxic workplace environment. Within a week I was on a plane to Puerto Rico to experience what @bmecommunity is all about. I love it here and I’m so proud of the work that I get to be apart of 🤎 Puerto Rico is beautiful and when you go make sure to visit Loíza, which has the largest Black population on the island 🏝️

I knew I wanted to do something unique and different for the Barbie Screener so, I headed to my local @gwinnettlibrary and 3D printed my own Barbie purse. If you live in #gwinnettcountyga you should check out the Learning Labs – pretty cool equipment that you can use for free! It took me several days to get this print together but this purse came out beautifully!

Took a short trip to @tesolife today and it was great! The store is definitely a vibe. Brought home so many goodies but first up was the seafood dumplings and seasoned Galbi Chicken Doritos. Yawl they were so good! Treat yourself to a quick trip to Duluth one of these days!
