WHEW. What a year it’s been. I can 10000000% say I NEVER would’ve made it without YOU. Thank you for showing up. Every single day. When it’s hard. When you can barely keep your eyes open. Every hospital stay. Every baby appointment. Every chemo appt you could. Making me breakfast, lunch and dinner when I was too sick/weak. Packing my hospital bag bc I’m too scatterbrained. Moving everything into the new house. Constantly taking things off my plate without me having to ask makes a world of difference. In the middle of the hardest season of our lives, God was quietly writing a new chapter. Preparing a blessing we didn’t know was coming. 🌈🤍

This little life found us in a season of uncertainty. A season of tears, prayers, hospital rooms, and learning to surrender what we could not control. Despite all the heartbreak, God gave us a reason to hope again. A rainbow doesn’t erase the storm. It reminds you that the storm did not have the final word.

You are already so deeply loved. You are our reminder that God can bring beauty from ashes, light from darkness, and joy from the places we thought could only hold pain. We can’t wait to meet you. 💜💙

Man oh man another 365 days around the sun!! Even though I see you daily I wanted to be the first to tell you Happy Birthday Queen! As always I’m so very proud of you and the woman you are. It is truly one of the greatest experiences ever that I have been blessed with outside of being a father to do life with you! You’re so driven, nurturing, gorgeous and I’m not going to say strong not because you aren’t a strong black woman but because in this lifetime you no longer have to be!!! One of my biggest flex is living up to the words I told you when I met you “that I cant promise you it won’t be bad days and hard times but I can promise you you will no longer have to endure those days alone” it is a blissful blessing to be able to show up for you to love you to cherish you to build with you!!! 4/16/26 is currently the frontrunner for the worst day of my life. Nothing could have prepared me to be told that the “constipation” the hospital diagnosed him with a week prior was actually a Stage 3 Wilms Tumor requiring the removal of his kidney and both chemo and radiation.

To our friends and family—y’all have kept me going more than you could possibly understand. Thank you for every prayer, every gift, every message, and every act of love. I truly wish I had photos of everyone and everything, because it has meant the world to us.

Rian had surgery to remove his 6lb tumor (outlined in red), and our next steps are chemo and radiation. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. This journey isn’t easy, but my baby is covered.
